Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • Join Unison Infrastructure Solutions LLC, a premier telecom and renewables infrastructure investment firm with a distinguished track record of over $2 billion invested in U.S. and European assets since its inception in 2003. As a rapidly expanding organization, we are thrilled to be in partnership with Ardian, a global investment powerhouse managing over $150 billion in assets, and are actively seeking dynamic, entrepreneurial individuals to fuel our continued growth.
  • As an Acquisitions Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic investment opportunities within the dynamic infrastructure sector. This position offers a unique chance to contribute directly to Unison's success by sourcing and managing a pipeline of compelling deals that align with our investment thesis and strategic objectives.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential acquisition targets across the telecom and renewable energy sectors. This will involve staying abreast of regulatory changes, technological advancements, and macroeconomic factors that could impact the infrastructure market.
  • You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining relationships with key industry players, including investment banks, brokers, legal counsel, and management teams of potential target companies. Cultivating these relationships will be crucial for deal sourcing and for gathering critical information during the due diligence process.
  • A significant part of your role will involve financial modeling and valuation of potential acquisition targets. This includes building detailed financial models to forecast future performance, conducting sensitivity analyses, and performing various valuation methodologies (e.g., DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions) to determine fair market value and potential returns.
  • You will lead and manage the due diligence process for selected acquisition targets. This encompasses coordinating with internal teams and external advisors (legal, financial, technical, environmental) to assess risks and opportunities, verify financial statements, review contracts, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Preparing comprehensive investment memorandums and presentations for Unison's Investment Committee will be a key deliverable. These documents will clearly articulate the investment thesis, key risks and mitigations, financial projections, and the strategic rationale for each proposed transaction.
  • You will actively participate in negotiations with sellers and their representatives, working towards favorable deal terms and structures. This requires a strong understanding of deal mechanics, legal documentation, and the ability to navigate complex negotiations effectively.
  • Post-acquisition, you will be involved in supporting the integration of new assets into Unison's portfolio, working closely with asset management teams to ensure a smooth transition and the realization of projected value.
  • This role demands a proactive, results-oriented individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong analytical mindset. You will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • The Acquisitions Advisor will contribute to the continuous improvement of Unison's deal sourcing and execution processes, bringing innovative ideas and best practices to the team. You will be expected to challenge assumptions, identify potential deal breakers early, and contribute to a robust investment decision-making framework.
  • Success in this role will be measured by the quality and volume of investment opportunities identified and executed, the accuracy of financial analyses and valuations, and the overall contribution to the growth and profitability of Unison's infrastructure portfolio.
  • You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of transactions, from small-scale asset acquisitions to larger, more complex platform deals, providing broad exposure to different facets of infrastructure investing.
  • This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about the infrastructure sector, possesses a strong understanding of corporate finance and investment principles, and is eager to make a tangible impact within a growing and respected investment firm.
  • We foster a culture of collaboration, intellectual curiosity, and continuous learning, encouraging our team members to take ownership of their work and develop their skills through challenging assignments and mentorship.
  • The Acquisitions Advisor will report to senior members of the investment team, gaining valuable experience and guidance from seasoned professionals in the field of infrastructure investment.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or infrastructure M&A.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough due diligence and prepare comprehensive investment analyses.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the telecom and/or renewable energy sectors is highly desirable.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus structure.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous paid time off and holidays.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuing education.
  • Collaborative and dynamic work environment with a focus on growth and innovation.
  • Exposure to high-profile infrastructure investment deals and significant career advancement potential.
