📋 Description
- • Join Unison Infrastructure Solutions LLC, a premier telecom and renewables infrastructure investment firm with a distinguished track record of over $2 billion invested in U.S. and European assets since its founding in 2003. We are at an exciting juncture of rapid expansion, further bolstered by our strategic partnership with Ardian, a global investment powerhouse managing over $150 billion in assets. As we continue to scale our operations and deepen our market penetration, we are actively seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Acquisitions Director to play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic acquisitions that align with our investment thesis and drive significant value creation.
- • In this critical role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future growth trajectory of Unison by spearheading the end-to-end acquisition process. This involves a deep dive into market analysis, target identification, rigorous due diligence, complex financial modeling, and skillful negotiation to secure compelling investment opportunities within the dynamic telecom and renewables sectors. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the intricacies of infrastructure investments, ensuring that each acquisition contributes meaningfully to our portfolio's strength and profitability.
- • You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets. This requires a proactive approach to market research, networking with industry participants, and leveraging your understanding of market trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive dynamics to pinpoint companies and assets that offer attractive risk-adjusted returns. Your ability to anticipate market shifts and identify emerging opportunities will be a key differentiator.
- • A significant part of your role will involve conducting comprehensive due diligence on prospective targets. This includes meticulously assessing financial statements, operational performance, legal and regulatory compliance, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors, and management teams. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external advisors, including legal counsel, financial auditors, and technical consultants, to uncover potential risks and opportunities, ensuring that all aspects of a potential transaction are thoroughly vetted before commitment.
- • Financial modeling and valuation will be at the core of your responsibilities. You will develop sophisticated financial models to forecast the performance of target assets, assess valuation ranges, and analyze the potential impact of acquisitions on Unison's overall portfolio. This includes constructing detailed projections, performing sensitivity analyses, and evaluating various deal structures to optimize transaction outcomes and maximize investor returns.
- • You will lead and manage the negotiation process for acquisitions, working closely with senior management and legal teams to structure and finalize deal terms. Your ability to negotiate effectively, protect Unison's interests, and achieve mutually beneficial agreements will be paramount. This includes understanding and mitigating deal risks, ensuring favorable terms, and driving transactions to successful closure.
- • Post-acquisition, you will play a role in the integration planning and initial oversight of acquired assets, working with operational teams to ensure a smooth transition and the realization of projected value. While not directly managing operations, your insights from the acquisition phase will be invaluable in setting the stage for successful post-deal performance.
- • This role demands a strategic mindset, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven ability to manage complex transactions from inception to completion. You will be expected to develop and present investment recommendations to Unison's Investment Committee and senior leadership, clearly articulating the rationale, risks, and expected returns of proposed acquisitions. Your communication and presentation skills will be vital in gaining buy-in and securing approval for strategic initiatives.
- • As an entrepreneurial individual, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating initiative, resourcefulness, and a strong work ethic. You will be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a high-performing team. Your passion for infrastructure investment and your drive to contribute to the growth of a leading firm will be key motivators.
- • Unison offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organization with a strong reputation in the market. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gain exposure to a wide range of complex transactions, and have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the firm's success. We foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, providing a supportive environment for professional development and career advancement.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the telecom and renewables infrastructure sectors, including market drivers, technological advancements, regulatory frameworks, and key players. This knowledge will enable you to identify unique investment opportunities and effectively assess the strategic fit and potential of target companies and assets. Your ability to stay abreast of industry developments and translate them into actionable investment strategies will be highly valued.
- • You will be a key contributor to Unison's strategic planning process, providing insights and analysis that inform our long-term investment objectives and market positioning. Your work will directly influence the firm's growth strategy and its ability to capitalize on emerging trends and opportunities in the infrastructure landscape.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in infrastructure investment, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate development, or a related field, with a significant focus on the telecom and/or renewables sectors.
- • Proven track record of successfully originating, structuring, and closing complex infrastructure transactions, demonstrating strong financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and negotiation skills.
- • Deep understanding of the telecom and renewables infrastructure markets, including key players, market dynamics, regulatory environments, and technological trends.
- • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is strongly preferred.
🏖️ Benefits
