📋 Description

• As an AI Agents Solutions Architect - Compliance at Kraken, you will serve as the primary architect and builder of AI-powered solutions within the Global Compliance team, directly enabling the company’s mission to accelerate global crypto adoption by modernizing regulatory operations through intelligent automation.
• You will design, deploy, and govern agentic workflows using n8n, Claude API, Python, and MCP to automate high-impact compliance processes such as alert pre-screening, case narrative generation, regulatory change summarization, EDD report drafting, and audit-ready documentation — ensuring all systems meet stringent data privacy and regulatory standards including GDPR, BSA, and FATF.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting scalable AI solutions that take real actions in compliance processes with human oversight, building error handling and audit trails into every system, classifying automation builds by risk tier, maintaining documentation for regulated data flows, and halting or redesigning builds that introduce unacceptable legal or privacy risk.
• You will multiply the Compliance team’s capability by producing runbooks, training non-technical staff on AI-assisted tools, tracking automation impact (e.g., reduced alert review time, increased case throughput), and acting as a force multiplier so investigators can focus on high-judgment, high-risk decisions.
• Working within Kraken’s fully remote, global team spanning 70+ countries and 50+ languages, you’ll collaborate with a mission-driven compliance function that serves as the regulatory backbone of one of the world’s most trusted crypto exchanges, supporting licensed entities across multiple jurisdictions and products including crypto, payments, futures, equities, custody, and margin.
• In this role, you will gain deep expertise in applying AI to regulated financial crime and capital markets compliance, shape governance standards for model risk management and cross-functional AI alignment, and develop leadership experience in driving organizational adoption of transformative compliance technology — positioning you at the forefront of RegTech innovation in the digital asset space.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Compliance operations, financial crime, regulatory technology, or a combined compliance and technical role with demonstrated senior-level execution.
• Strong fluency with AI and workflow automation tools, including proven experience designing, deploying, and driving adoption of AI solutions within Compliance or RegTech workflows in production environments used by others.
• Deep working knowledge of anti-financial crime (AML/CFT, sanctions, transaction monitoring), capital markets compliance (sales and trading, market conduct, transaction surveillance), and data privacy frameworks including GDPR, BSA, FATF standards, and AML data retention requirements.
