- • The AI Deployment Manager for Core Ecosystem, EDU at OpenAI is a strategic post-sales enablement role focused on driving sustained adoption and measurable impact of OpenAI’s AI products—including ChatGPT Enterprise and Agents—within educational institutions. This role is critical in transforming AI experimentation into institutional capability by designing and delivering enablement experiences that empower faculty, students, staff, and leadership to integrate AI into teaching, learning, research, and administrative workflows.
- • Day to day, you will own the end-to-end enablement lifecycle for educational customers, leading live workshops, designing scalable training assets, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for OpenAI’s product suite. You will partner with Sales, AI Success Engineers, Solutions Engineering, and Product teams to ensure seamless handoffs and consistent customer experiences, while gathering feedback from engagements to inform product improvements and identify emerging use cases in academic settings.
- • You will design and deliver high-impact enablement engagements such as onboarding sessions, advanced capability trainings, leadership briefings, hackathons, and hands-on workshops tailored to diverse audiences—from senior faculty and IT administrators to students and instructional designers—ensuring content translates technical capabilities into practical, real-world value.
- • The ADM team operates at the intersection of product, customer success, and education, enabling organizations to move beyond AI experimentation to durable, institution-wide adoption. By partnering closely with enterprises and institutions, the team translates OpenAI’s technology into sustained capability through structured training, technical enablement, and services that accelerate time-to-value and deepen product integration.
- • In this role, you will develop scalable enablement assets, playbooks, and best practices based on cross-customer patterns, helping to build repeatable adoption frameworks that drive activation, sustained usage, and measurable outcomes across teaching, learning, research, and operations. You will own outcomes related to customer activation and long-term value by shaping how enablement drives institutional readiness and AI literacy.
- • You will grow your expertise in AI product fluency, instructional design, and enterprise change management while working at the forefront of AI adoption in education. This role offers the opportunity to shape how leading institutions harness AI responsibly and effectively, contributing to OpenAI’s mission of ensuring AI benefits all of humanity through safe, impactful deployment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of experience in customer-facing, enablement, or instructional roles, with proven success engaging leadership and technical audiences in large-scale institutional or educational environments.
- • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, particularly the ability to translate complex AI capabilities into clear, practical value for senior and executive-level audiences.
- • Strong product fluency across ChatGPT, Agents, and the broader OpenAI ecosystem, with a practical understanding of how AI applies to real-world workflows in teaching, learning, research, and enterprise settings.
- • Proven experience designing and leading workshops and enablement programs, including the ability to create learning journeys, facilitate live sessions, and respond to questions in real time.
- • Ability to identify patterns across customer engagements and translate them into scalable enablement approaches that improve adoption across the broader customer base.
