đź“‹ Description
- • The AI Deployment Manager (ADM) - Pilots role at OpenAI is a strategic, customer-facing position responsible for designing and executing time-bound enterprise AI pilots that help organizations evaluate OpenAI’s products in real-world settings, identify high-value use cases, and generate clear, decision-ready signals tied to business outcomes. This role is critical in bridging technical capabilities with commercial impact, ensuring that AI adoption is not just experimental but leads to measurable value and informed expansion or purchase decisions.
- • Day to day, the ADM will own the full lifecycle of enterprise AI pilots—from scoping and defining success criteria aligned to commercial decisions, to identifying and prioritizing 1–3 high-impact use cases that can deliver credible signal within a 30–45 day window. They will drive activation and sustained engagement across pilot cohorts through targeted enablement, office hours, and workflow-level coaching, while continuously monitoring performance and adapting in real time to address gaps in engagement, traction, or stakeholder alignment.
- • The ADM will translate pilot outcomes into executive-ready recommendations, advising customers on whether and how to expand AI usage based on data-driven insights. They will navigate complex customer environments, including security protocols, data access limitations, and competing tools, while maintaining pilot momentum and trust. Close collaboration with Account Directors (ADs), Solutions Engineers (SEs), and internal stakeholders is essential to align on scope, risks, and next steps throughout the engagement.
- • Beyond individual pilots, the ADM will capture patterns and lessons learned across engagements to develop repeatable playbooks that improve pilot qualification, execution, and scalability. This role demands strong judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to connect technical fluency with business storytelling—particularly when presenting to executive audiences. Success is measured by the ability to move customers from experimentation to sustained adoption, grounded in ethical and responsible AI deployment.
- • The role offers significant professional growth: the ADM will deepen expertise in enterprise AI adoption, change management, and technical sales enablement while working at the forefront of generative AI innovation. They will build cross-functional influence, refine executive communication skills, and contribute to shaping OpenAI’s go-to-market strategy through real-world customer insights. This is an opportunity to shape how leading organizations adopt transformative AI technology—with impact, integrity, and clarity.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in enterprise consulting, customer success, program management, solutions engineering, or a similar customer-facing role engaging executive and senior technical audiences.
- • Proven experience leading structured pilots, POCs, or adoption programs tied to clear business or commercial decisions.
- • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, especially in conveying technical concepts and pilot outcomes clearly to executive stakeholders.
- • Experience driving product adoption and change management in large organizations, moving users from experimentation to sustained usage.
- • Technical fluency to reason about data access, integrations, and deployment constraints, and the ability to connect technical capabilities to concrete business outcomes.
- • Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, making real-time tradeoffs while maintaining clarity and momentum.
- • High ownership mindset and collaborative approach, proactively driving outcomes across sales, technical, and customer stakeholders.
- • Personal commitment to the responsible and ethical deployment of AI.
