- • The AI Deployment Manager (ADM) - Pilots role at OpenAI is a strategic, customer-facing position responsible for designing and leading time-bound enterprise AI pilots that help organizations evaluate OpenAI’s products in real-world settings, identify high-value use cases, and generate clear, decision-ready signals tied to business outcomes. This role is critical in bridging technical capabilities with commercial decisions, ensuring that AI adoption is not just experimental but leads to measurable impact and expansion opportunities.
- • Day to day, the AI Deployment Manager will own the end-to-end design and execution of enterprise AI pilots, including scoping engagements, defining success criteria aligned to commercial decisions, identifying and prioritizing 1–3 high-impact use cases within a 30–45 day window, driving activation and sustained usage through targeted enablement, office hours, and workflow-level coaching, monitoring performance in real time to diagnose engagement gaps or misalignment, translating outcomes into executive-ready recommendations for expansion or purchase, navigating customer constraints around security, data access, and competing tools, partnering with Account Directors, Solutions Engineers, and customer stakeholders to align on scope and risks, and capturing cross-pilot patterns to build repeatable playbooks that improve qualification and execution.
- • The role sits within OpenAI’s Go-to-Market organization, working closely with sales, technical, and customer success teams to deliver structured pilot experiences that accelerate enterprise adoption of ChatGPT Enterprise, Codex, and related AI workflows. - • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in enterprise AI adoption strategies, learn how to connect technical product capabilities to concrete business outcomes in complex organizational environments, refine skills in executive storytelling and change management, gain exposure to cutting-edge AI products and their real-world applications across industries, and build a portfolio of repeatable pilot frameworks that can scale impact across OpenAI’s enterprise customer base.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in enterprise consulting, customer success, program management, solutions engineering, or a similar customer-facing role engaging executive and senior technical audiences
- • Proven experience leading structured pilots, POCs, or adoption programs tied to clear business or commercial decisions
- • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, especially in conveying technical concepts and pilot outcomes clearly to executive stakeholders
- • Experience driving product adoption and change management in large organizations, moving users from experimentation to sustained usage
- • Technical fluency to reason about data access, integrations, and deployment constraints, with the ability to connect technical capabilities to business outcomes
- • Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, making real-time tradeoffs while maintaining clarity and momentum
- • High ownership mindset and collaborative approach, proactively driving outcomes across sales, technical, and customer stakeholders
- • Personal commitment to the responsible and ethical deployment of AI
