📋 Description

• AI Engineer at Viktor, building the AI coworker that lives in Slack and Microsoft Teams and replaces half the SaaS stack with a single teammate.
• Build the agent runtime: sandboxed execution, tool orchestration, and memory systems that turn natural language into real API actions.
• Ship integrations with thousands of tools including Salesforce, Notion, Stripe, QuickBooks, HubSpot, and Shopify, handling OAuth, webhooks, schema mapping, and error handling.
• Run and optimize infrastructure handling 600K tool calls per day through container orchestration, autoscaling, and cost-efficient task execution.
• Ship user-facing features directly in Slack and Teams, seeing your code in production the same day you write it.
• Work directly with founders in Munich on a small, high-trust team where you own real product surfaces and see immediate impact.
• Learn fast across the stack — TypeScript/React frontend, Python backend and agents, Modal for infrastructure — while contributing to AI-assisted development practices.
• Succeed by shipping daily, fixing 3am outages end-to-end, and having your name in the changelog as a driver of customer success.

🎯 Requirements

• Agentic coding: Fully bought into AI-assisted development with agents and parallelized workflows as your default way of working.
• Systems thinking: Ability to make hard technical trade-offs, understand failure at scale, and design for reliability and cost efficiency.
• Range: Comfortable moving between agent runtime, React components, and deployment scripts in a single afternoon due to Viktor’s broad surface area.
• Genuine interest in how AI actually works: You’ve read research papers, studied prompts, and have opinions on evals and model behavior.
• Munich-based hybrid role: Regular in-office presence required alongside the engineering team.
• Bonus: Previous AI engineering experience (agents, harnesses, deep model understanding), founder/early-stage builder background, or open source contributions to AI tooling.
