📋 Description
- • As a Sr. Solutions Architect - SDDC at SHI International Corp., you will be at the forefront of transforming our clients' data center infrastructures. This pivotal post-sales role focuses on the implementation of Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) initiatives, guiding organizations through their transition to modern data center solutions and private cloud environments. You will be instrumental in designing and deploying enterprise-grade infrastructure and platforms, executing seamless upgrades and migrations, and ensuring the robust integration of new systems with existing client architectures.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of technical expertise, including performing detailed low-level design, architecture analysis, and systems engineering. A significant portion of your work will involve the hands-on implementation of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), supporting both brownfield and greenfield deployments. You will also be deeply involved in deploying and configuring VMware Aria Automation, a key component for driving efficiency and agility in the data center.
- • Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in the implementation of VMware Private AI Foundation, enabling clients to leverage AI capabilities within their secure private cloud environments. Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) will be central to your toolkit, utilizing technologies such as SaltStack, Terraform, and Ansible to streamline deployments and manage infrastructure programmatically.
- • You will leverage your proficiency in scripting languages, including PowerShell, PowerCLI, and JavaScript, to automate complex tasks and develop custom solutions. Your expertise will extend to server virtualization and operations, vSAN, storage solutions (including SAN), and disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- • A deep understanding of VMware NSX and general virtual networking is essential, as you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure and efficient network architectures within the software-defined data center. You will also focus on backup and ransomware resiliency solutions, ensuring the data integrity and business continuity of our clients.
- • As a technical lead and subject matter expert, you will oversee project outcomes, guide the work of other consultants, and be accountable for the success of complex engagements. This includes collaborating closely with sales and presales teams to identify and close professional services opportunities by conducting customer discovery sessions and meticulously scoping projects.
- • You will be responsible for the configuration and upgrade services within customer environments, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption. A key aspect of this role is mentorship; you will guide and develop other architects and consultants within the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- • Your involvement will extend to pre-sales activities, including participating in technical discussions, contributing to service engagement planning, and helping to articulate the value proposition of SHI's solutions.
- • Staying abreast of the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and new offerings is paramount. You will be expected to continuously expand your knowledge base and apply this learning to client solutions and internal practice development.
- • You will demonstrate long-term strategic thinking, contributing to the evolution of our Infrastructure practice and ensuring our client engagements are aligned with future technological advancements and business objectives.
- • This role demands exceptional problem-solving skills, enabling you to proactively identify and address complex technical challenges, implement preventative measures, and drive successful resolutions. Your communication skills will be vital in conveying intricate technical concepts to diverse audiences, facilitating collaboration, and mentoring others in effective communication strategies.
- • You will also exhibit strong adaptability, leading teams through change and fostering an environment that embraces new directions and technological evolution. Leadership and teamwork are core competencies, requiring you to take ownership of initiatives, collaborate effectively, and drive team performance in a cooperative setting. Self-motivation will be key to driving complex personal and professional initiatives to successful completion.
