AI Engineering Intern

📋 Description

• • Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI/ML models and applications to solve real business problems in healthcare prescription management.
• • Collaborate with Engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to translate operational and customer-facing needs into technical AI/ML solutions.
• • Build and optimize data pipelines and inference workflows for structured and unstructured data including text, APIs, and image-based inputs.
• • Develop prototypes and AI-powered applications using cloud environments, primarily AWS, to support internal tooling and process automation.
• • Experiment with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering techniques, and third-party AI APIs to enhance model performance and output quality.
• • Document code, experimental results, and technical findings to ensure team-wide knowledge sharing and reproducibility.
• • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning meetings, and technical discussions as an active member of the Engineering team.
• • Present project work, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across departments.
• • Support additional engineering and AI initiatives as assigned, adapting quickly to evolving priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.
• • Work directly with enterprise-scale systems that connect patients, prescribers, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical manufacturers to improve therapy access and adherence.
• • Gain hands-on experience with modern AI architectures and emerging technologies including generative AI in a regulated health-tech setting.
• • Contribute to initiatives aimed at increasing operational efficiency, reducing manual workflows, and improving patient outcomes through AI-driven insights.
• • Utilize software engineering fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, and version control systems to maintain clean, scalable, and maintainable codebases.
• • Engage with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to streamline deployment of AI models and ensure reliable system performance.
• • Learn from experienced technical mentors while contributing to mission-driven projects that directly impact patient access to timely and affordable medication.
