- • Architect the AI-first future of healthcare. You will own the end-to-end AI strategy for ClinicOS, the operating system that already powers two of the fastest-growing direct-to-patient brands in the US & UK (Fella Health & Bolt Pharmacy). Your code will touch every step of the patient journey—from the first marketing touchpoint to the final refill—ultimately determining whether millions of people can access life-changing GLP-1 therapy.
- • Build a model-agnostic AI platform that can hot-swap between OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source LLMs without downtime. Design intelligent routing that matches each clinical or growth task to the optimal model for cost, latency, and accuracy. Instrument everything with real-time dashboards so the team sees performance, spend, and patient-outcome impact at a glance.
- • Automate the clinical workflows that still rely on human clicks. Today our clinicians spend hours on chart review, eligibility checks, and prior-authorization paperwork. You will ship LLM agents that read medical records, surface contraindications, draft prior-auth appeals, and hand a concise, evidence-based summary to the provider for a 30-second review instead of a 30-minute slog.
- • Create AI assistants that make our providers super-human. Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems that surface the latest obesity-treatment literature, dosing protocols, and formulary rules at the point of care. Embed these tools directly into our provider dashboard so every clinician can answer patient questions with the confidence of a world-class specialist.
- • Own AI-powered growth from first impression to checkout. Build personalized outreach sequences that adapt tone, channel, and timing to each prospect’s behavior. Deploy AI video generation and voice synthesis to create thousands of hyper-localized ads without human editing. Run continuous A/B tests that move conversion-rate levers until we hit human-level performance at software scale.
- • Establish ruthless data loops. You will query our production datasets daily, identify the highest-impact AI bets, and ship lightweight MVPs in days—not quarters. Instrument every experiment with guardrail metrics (patient safety, clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance) and success metrics (conversion, retention, NPS). Kill under-performers quickly; double-down on winners aggressively.
- • Lead and mentor a growing AI engineering pod. You will set coding standards, review PRs, and pair-program with junior engineers. Foster a culture where shipping fast is compatible with HIPAA-grade security and FDA-grade reliability. Coach the team to write prompts, evaluations, and fallbacks that are as readable and testable as any other code.
- • Shape the 2035 roadmap. Today we serve >10 k patients; by 2035 we will serve 100 million. You will design the distributed systems, vector stores, and fine-tuning pipelines that scale 10,000× without melting our AWS bill or our clinical quality. Your architecture decisions will determine whether we can layer on next-gen biotech products (longevity, fertility, metabolic reversal) without re-platforming.
- • Live our cultural standards. Bring maniacal urgency to every sprint, frugality to every infra decision, and candor to every retro. When storms hit—regulatory changes, model drift, or sudden patient-volume spikes—you will bulldoze barriers and keep the team focused on the one thing that matters: delivering insanely great healthcare experiences.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of production-grade software engineering with a proven focus on AI/ML systems
- • Deep, hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-powered applications (prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, eval frameworks)
- • Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript or Python, plus production experience with React or similar front-end stacks
- • Demonstrated ability to design, build, and scale modern, customer-facing APIs and distributed cloud services
- • Track record of leading or mentoring engineers in high-velocity, high-stakes environments
