📋 Description

• The AI Transformation & Operations Lead will drive the evolution of Devoted Health’s Claims operations into an AI-native ecosystem, redefining how claims are processed by integrating AI agents with human expertise to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
• This role is pivotal in transforming operational workflows through AI orchestration, ensuring that technology enhances—not replaces—human judgment, and that claims teams are empowered to work alongside intelligent systems responsibly and effectively.
• Day to day, the incumbent will redesign claims workflows to embed AI agents for tasks such as triage, documentation review, and decision support, partnering with operational leaders to map end-to-end processes and identify automation opportunities that maintain compliance and explainability.
• They will design and oversee the deployment of task-specific and multi-agent AI systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing claims platforms and defining clear handoff protocols between AI and human operators for escalation, oversight, and continuous learning.
• The role includes establishing governance frameworks for AI performance, monitoring model drift, data quality, and cost efficiency, while collaborating with compliance and risk teams to uphold ethical AI use in accordance with healthcare regulations.
• They will serve as a critical liaison between Claims, Product, Engineering, and Data teams, translating frontline operational insights into technical requirements and ensuring that AI development is grounded in real-world claims challenges and opportunities.
• The Lead will build and deliver training programs to upskill Claims staff in AI fluency, fostering confidence and competence in supervising, interpreting, and collaborating with AI systems through workshops, documentation, and hands-on enablement.
• They will lead structured experiments and pilot programs to test novel agentic workflows, measure outcomes against KPIs such as throughput, accuracy, and cost-to-serve, and scale successful models across the organization.

🎯 Requirements

• 1+ years of hands-on experience applying generative AI or LLM-based agent orchestration in real-world workflows, products, or operational use cases.
• Proficiency with data and analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Looker) to derive insights and bridge business needs with technical solutions.
• Background in technology, operations, or process re-engineering, ideally in a scaled service or technical environment, with strong systems thinking ability.
• Excellent communication and change management skills, with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive adoption of new ways of working.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong collaborative relationships with Product, Engineering, and Data teams through empathetic and strategic partnership.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
