đź“‹ Description

  • • Americas Region Payroll Specialist at Pebl Technologies Inc. is a critical global client service role focused on ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across North America and LATAM, directly supporting the company’s rapid growth and international expansion by maintaining payroll integrity for a diverse, multinational workforce.
  • • The role is pivotal in upholding Pebl’s reputation for operational excellence in a high-velocity startup environment, where precision, discretion, and proactive problem-solving directly impact client satisfaction, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include executing end-to-end payroll for employees across the Americas region, supporting multiple pay frequencies (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly) with 100% accuracy and adherence to SLAs for processing and reporting.
  • • The specialist validates payroll data across HRIS and payroll systems (including NetSuite, Expensify, and global finance platforms), resolves discrepancies, and produces weekly and ad hoc reports for internal stakeholders and finance teams to support audit trails and client billing accuracy.
  • • They process payroll and invoice data within the global finance platform to ensure alignment with client contracts, generate accurate payroll packages, and support month-end close and statutory reporting requirements.
  • • Cross-functional partnership is essential: collaborating with HR, finance, and account management teams to ensure clean data inputs into HRIS and payroll systems, resolve employee inquiries, and support billing and compliance questions related to PEO arrangements and local labor laws.
  • • The role requires maintaining deep, up-to-date knowledge of country-, state-, and local-specific payroll regulations across the Americas, including tax withholdings, social contributions, minimum wage laws, overtime rules, and PEO compliance frameworks, applying this knowledge proactively to prevent errors and ensure legal adherence.

  • • They exercise extreme discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive employee compensation data, maintaining confidentiality at all times while demonstrating diplomacy in sensitive client and employee interactions.
  • • Success in this role is measured by consistent SLA attainment, zero critical payroll errors, timely reporting, and positive feedback from internal stakeholders and clients regarding payroll reliability and responsiveness.
  • • The individual will gain deep expertise in multinational payroll compliance, global HRIS platforms (especially NetSuite and Expensify), and cross-border financial operations, positioning them for advancement into senior payroll, payroll operations management, or global HRIS roles within Pebl or similar high-growth tech-enabled service providers.
  • • This role offers unparalleled exposure to how innovative companies manage global workforce logistics at scale, providing a foundation for a career in global payroll strategy, international HR operations, or fintech-enabled workforce solutions.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum 3 years of experience processing payroll with demonstrated expertise in North America and LATAM payroll regulations, including tax, social security, and statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • • English fluency (written and verbal) is required for effective communication with global stakeholders, clients, and internal teams.
  • • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with strong attention to detail, independence, adaptability, and strict adherence to deadlines while maintaining 100% accuracy in payroll processing and reporting.
  • • Experience working in global HRIS or payroll platforms (such as NetSuite, ADP, Workday, or similar) is preferred; experience with Expensify or similar expense management systems is desirable.
  • • Knowledge of Corporate Accounting or Finance principles is preferred to support accurate journal entries, reconciliation, and audit readiness.
  • • Demonstrated critical thinking, initiative, and ability to conduct independent research to resolve complex payroll discrepancies or regulatory questions.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Opportunity to work with a rapidly growing, innovative tech company creating a new category in global workforce solutions, offering significant career growth potential in a high-impact role.

  • • Collaborative, fast-paced startup culture that values resourcefulness, initiative, and ownership, with direct access to leadership and opportunities to influence process design and service strategy.
  • • Professional development through immersion in Pebl’s business model and client-specific workflows, enabling deep understanding of international employment and payroll-as-a-service models.
