  • • As an Analyst, Level 1, Onboarding KYX, you will be a critical first line of defense in safeguarding Tide's operations against financial crime. Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously verify the identities of new customers, ensuring full compliance with stringent regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role is fundamental to maintaining the integrity of our financial platform and preventing illicit activities such as money laundering and fraud.
  • • You will be tasked with collecting and analyzing a variety of essential documentation, including government-issued identification, proof of address, and business registration documents. This information will be gathered through direct communication via email and utilization of specific internal platforms, requiring a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will involve assessing the inherent risk associated with each customer. This assessment will be based on a comprehensive evaluation of factors such as their industry, geographical location, anticipated transaction patterns, and the specific nature of their business operations. This risk-based approach is crucial for tailoring due diligence efforts.
  • • You will play an active role in ensuring a consistent understanding and application of KYC policies and procedures across the team and relevant departments. This involves liaising with policy guidelines to guarantee that all onboarding processes adhere strictly to compliance mandates.
  • • Conducting thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) due diligence is paramount. This includes performing Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) procedures as necessary, to ensure that all customer activities align with legal and regulatory frameworks. Your investigations may extend to cross-platform research, including utilizing resources like Companies House and social media to gather client-specific analysis.
  • • You will be empowered to identify and propose areas for enhancement within the onboarding and KYC processes. Your insights will be invaluable in improving both the operational efficiency of the team and the overall member experience, contributing to Tide's continuous improvement culture.
  • • This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to extend assistance to colleagues whenever needed within the business, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • • By diligently executing these responsibilities, you will directly contribute to Tide's mission of empowering small businesses by providing a secure and trustworthy financial platform, enabling them to save time and money while focusing on their core operations.
  • • Your work will directly impact Tide's ability to expand into new markets and maintain its position as a leading business financial platform, ensuring regulatory adherence and mitigating risks in a rapidly evolving fintech landscape.
  • • You will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced fintech environment, developing expertise in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and customer due diligence within the UK financial sector.
  • • This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a growing global company that is transforming the small business banking market, making a tangible difference in the lives of entrepreneurs and SMEs.
