- • As the first dedicated Applied AI hire at Upvest, you will build and own the company's AI implementation from the ground up, identifying high-leverage opportunities across the business and shipping solutions that teams actually use.
- • You will integrate AI tools like Claude and other LLMs with internal systems via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), build lightweight integrations, and create end-to-end workflows using tools like n8n to automate processes where they deliver the most impact.
- • You will act as an in-house AI consultant, working 1:1 with engineers, operations, and client-facing teams to run discovery sessions, write internal playbooks, and coach colleagues on prompt engineering and AI tooling to drive real adoption.
- • You will operate within BaFin and FCA regulated environments, ensuring all AI implementations comply with data privacy, security, and audit requirements without needing external validation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Hands-on experience shipping AI agents and building end-to-end automations with tools like n8n.
- • Proven experience building or working with MCP servers to connect LLMs to internal tools, APIs, and data sources.
- • Demonstrated ability to upskill non-technical teams on AI tooling and drive real adoption through coaching and training.
- • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technical work to measurable outcomes and define ROI.
- • Experience working in fintech or a closely adjacent regulated industry, with first-hand understanding of compliance constraints.
- • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a scale-up environment in roles such as solutions engineer, technical consultant, AI product engineer, or similar.
- • Based in Berlin (mandatory); fluency in English required, German language skills a plus.
