📋 Description

  • • As the AR Team Lead (B2B Process Owner) at Nord Security, you will be at the forefront of shaping and optimizing our B2B financial operations, ensuring seamless billing and revenue recognition for our rapidly expanding suite of cybersecurity solutions. This pivotal role demands a blend of strong leadership, deep financial acumen, and a passion for process innovation, all within a dynamic, fast-paced tech environment.
  • • You will take ownership of the entire B2B accounts receivable lifecycle, from initial invoicing and payment processing to collections and reconciliation. This includes designing, implementing, and continuously refining billing processes for new products, services, and emerging sales channels, ensuring scalability and accuracy as Nord Security continues its global growth trajectory.
  • • Leading a dedicated team of approximately 5-6 AR Accountants, you will foster a high-performance culture, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring your team consistently meets and exceeds performance targets across both specialized B2B responsibilities and broader AR streams.
  • • A core aspect of this role involves driving automation initiatives within the AR function. You will identify opportunities to leverage technology to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, enhance data accuracy, and improve overall efficiency. This includes evaluating and implementing new tools and systems, and collaborating closely with Finance Tech Leads and the broader Tech teams to integrate AR processes with other financial and operational systems.
  • • You will serve as the primary subject matter expert for all B2B billing and AR matters, acting as a crucial liaison between the Finance department, Sales teams, and Technology stakeholders. Your ability to translate complex financial requirements into actionable technical specifications and to communicate financial insights effectively to non-financial audiences will be critical.
  • • Responsibilities will encompass developing and maintaining robust internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. You will also be responsible for generating insightful reports and analyses on AR performance, cash flow, and key financial metrics, providing valuable data to support strategic decision-making across the organization.
  • • Proactively identify and mitigate risks within the AR process, implementing strategies to minimize bad debt and optimize working capital. This includes developing effective collection strategies and managing customer payment plans.
  • • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales Operations, Legal, and Customer Support, to resolve billing discrepancies, address customer inquiries, and ensure a smooth customer experience from a financial perspective.
  • • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in accounts receivable and financial operations, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • • Contribute to the strategic planning and budgeting processes for the Finance department, providing expertise on AR-related financial forecasts and resource allocation.
  • • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging your team to identify and implement process enhancements that drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of all B2B invoices, credit memos, and payment applications, maintaining meticulous records.
  • • Oversee the dunning and collections process, developing and executing strategies to reduce outstanding receivables and improve cash conversion cycles.
  • • Partner with the Sales and Account Management teams to ensure accurate and timely setup of new customer billing arrangements and contract terms.
  • • Participate in the selection, implementation, and ongoing optimization of AR-related software and technologies.
  • • Develop and deliver training to team members and relevant stakeholders on AR processes and systems.
  • • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the AR team and B2B processes, reporting on performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • • Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • • Drive the adoption of best practices in cash application and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • • Act as a point of escalation for complex AR issues, providing timely and effective resolution.
  • • Contribute to the development and maintenance of AR policies and procedures documentation.
  • • Foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate efficient financial operations.
  • • This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a growth environment, possesses a strong analytical mindset, and is dedicated to building and leading high-performing teams that contribute directly to the financial health and operational efficiency of a leading cybersecurity company.
