đź“‹ Description

  • • As an Architecture Associate at Homebound, you will play a pivotal role in bridging innovative technology with thoughtful residential design to transform how homes are built at scale. You will ensure architectural excellence across Florida markets by managing external consultants, maintaining design integrity, and supporting the evolution of Homebound’s plan series—directly contributing to the delivery of homes that are both efficiently producible and architecturally distinctive.
  • • Day to day, you will coordinate external architectural partners and consultants during pre-construction, manage communication to keep projects on schedule, and review deliverables for alignment with Homebound standards. You will support pre-construction activities on Homebound-owned lots, coordinate structural and engineering consultants, prepare and review construction documents for agency submittal, and assist in the permitting process by responding to jurisdictional comments and coordinating revisions.
  • • You will assist in developing and refining Homebound’s plan series and home product, adapting designs to meet local zoning, site, and code requirements while balancing design quality, constructability, and cost efficiency. You will participate in creating and iterating plans for Homebound-owned lots, ensuring they meet market needs and comply with building regulations.
  • • You will review architectural drawings, models, elevations, and features to ensure compliance with Homebound’s architectural templates and construction specifications, provide guidance to external architects to maintain design vision and quality, and contribute to the development of exterior architectural character, materials, and design palettes across markets.
  • • You will coordinate and review Revit models from external partners, ensuring compliance with Homebound’s modeling standards, provide feedback for revisions, and maintain documentation accuracy to support timely project progression.
  • • You will partner with Product Development, Construction Operations, Procurement, and Sales teams to align architectural deliverables with construction and product strategy, maintain organized project documentation, and contribute to process improvements in architectural workflows and consultant coordination.
  • • You will work within a mission-driven team at Homebound, a company backed by $150M from leading investors including Google, Khosla, and Thrive Ventures, dedicated to transforming residential construction through technology. The Architecture & Design Department collaborates closely with Product Strategy and Construction Operations to ensure homes are not only buildable at scale but also reflect thoughtful, distinctive residential architecture.
  • • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in production-oriented residential architecture, gain experience managing external consultant networks at scale, and influence the architectural identity of a growing national homebuilder. You will develop skills in balancing design ambition with production efficiency, preparing you to lead in the future of tech-enabled, design-forward homebuilding.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5–8 years of architectural experience with a focus on single-family residential projects
  • • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field
  • • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and/or Bluebeam; BIM experience required
  • • Experience navigating zoning, permitting, and HOA approval processes
  • • Experience coordinating consultants and managing architectural documentation
  • • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • • Collaborate with architects, builders, and technologists to deliver high-quality homes at scale
