- • Zoetis Inc. is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Area Business Manager (ABM) for its US Petcare Division, a pivotal role focused on driving sales performance and fostering team development within a designated geographic area.
- • As an ABM, you will be instrumental in leading and nurturing a team of Account Managers (AMs) and Executive Account Managers (EAMs), empowering them to achieve and exceed sales objectives through expert solution coaching and strategic business planning.
- • Your leadership will be crucial in executing overarching sales strategies, ensuring maximum market penetration and revenue generation across your assigned territory.
- • You will embody and champion Zoetis' Core Beliefs, setting a high standard for team conduct and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- • This role demands significant travel, approximately 70-80% of your time, throughout the designated geography, potentially including overnight stays, to provide direct field coaching and business oversight.
- • **Leading People:**
- • You will be responsible for the direct leadership and comprehensive development of all colleagues within your area, tailoring your approach to the specific needs and roles of each individual.
- • A core component of your role will be consistently demonstrating and applying advanced Solution Coaching capabilities to enhance team performance and problem-solving skills.
- • You will provide clear direction and strategic guidance to the area's Account Managers and Executive Account Managers, ensuring their efforts are aligned with management's objectives and overall company goals.
- • Your responsibilities extend to attracting, developing, evaluating, differentiating, and retaining top talent. This involves proactive recruiting and hiring, continuous coaching, and the effective utilization of performance management and colleague development tools.
- • A significant portion of your time, approximately 75%, will be dedicated to field-coaching days. During these days, you will work directly with AMs and EAMs to strengthen their core competencies, foster professional growth, and help them achieve their performance targets.
- • You must exhibit strong leadership qualities, fostering a collaborative environment where all team members feel supported and motivated to contribute their best.
- • **Sales Performance:**
- • A primary objective will be to meet or exceed established sales quotas, with a particular focus on driving growth for key products through the development and coaching of your AMs and EAMs.
- • You will play a critical role in successfully leading the launch of new products, services, and equipment within your area, ensuring effective market introduction and adoption.
- • Success will be measured not only by quota attainment but also by demonstrating growth rates and improving the overall health of the business within your area, leveraging analytical insights and effective resource management.
- • **Leading the Business:**
- • You will be tasked with developing comprehensive annual strategic business plans. These plans will encompass detailed analysis of demographics, economics, current performance, future potential, actionable strategies, and robust tracking and reporting mechanisms for both individual territories and the area as a whole.
- • You will coordinate and strategically allocate marketing resources within the area, ensuring a balanced approach that addresses the needs of both AMs and EAMs.
- • The role involves managing various administrative and reporting duties, including but not limited to operating expenses, performance management processes, and conducting performance reviews.
- • Active participation in new product launch events and periodic regional/area sales meetings is expected.
- • You will also engage in special projects and undertake other duties as assigned by the Regional Business Director and/or headquarters management, contributing to broader company initiatives.
