  • • As an Area Rare Cardiac Specialist (ARCS) at Pfizer, you will play a pivotal role in driving disease awareness for ATTR-CM (Transthyretin Amyloid Cardiomyopathy) among healthcare providers (HCPs) across general cardiology, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), health systems, and group practices.
  • • This remote position, based in Virginia, requires a strategic and collaborative approach to engage with key stakeholders and accelerate patient identification and treatment.
  • • You will work closely with the Cardiac Account Specialist (CAS) to ensure a seamless and impactful customer experience throughout the patient journey, reporting directly to the Area Business Manager (ABM).
  • • Your primary responsibility will be the execution of ATTR-CM disease awareness initiatives, leveraging your strong business acumen and deep understanding of the local healthcare ecosystem.
  • • You will develop comprehensive sales business plans tailored to your territory, identifying key opportunities and defining performance metrics aligned with brand objectives.
  • • Collaboration is key; you will partner with other customer-facing colleagues, including the CAS, to execute these plans effectively and drive new patient starts by increasing disease state awareness.
  • • Utilizing approved marketing resources, you will educate customers, build meaningful relationships, and foster patient recognition for ATTR-CM.
  • • A critical aspect of this role is strict adherence to all company policies and applicable government regulations, ensuring all activities are conducted with the highest ethical standards.
  • • You will be responsible for prioritizing customer opportunities and projects to maximize impact, using available data and stakeholder input to inform optimal decision-making.
  • • Developing and maintaining active customer profiles, plans, and data sets within company planning resources is essential for tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • • Continuous evaluation and refinement of your call planning and schedule optimization will be necessary, considering unique local territory factors such as access, geographic span, collaborative commitments, and customer alerts.
  • • You will employ advanced selling skills and approaches, such as PSSF (Pfizer’s selling model), to navigate complex selling environments within your local market.
  • • Tailoring approved brand messaging to align with individual customer priorities and needs, while adapting to the complexities of the selling environment, is crucial.
  • • You will proactively partner with customers to connect them with relevant Pfizer resources and services that can enhance patient care.
  • • Growing and maintaining strong relationships with appropriate stakeholders and decision-makers within your territory will be a continuous effort.
  • • Cultivating an in-depth understanding of local market dynamics, the customer landscape, and the ATTR-CM disease area, including diagnostic procedures and the clinical profile of relevant treatments, is fundamental.
  • • Educating customers on ATTR-CM to raise disease awareness and on diagnostic procedures to support patient identification and treatment initiation is a core function.
  • • You will effectively demonstrate the brand's value proposition as a solution to identified customer and patient needs, adhering strictly to approved indications.
  • • Implementing approved marketing educational programs across various customer segments and presenting approved materials will be key to delivering value-added messaging in a compelling and compliant manner.
  • • Demonstrating change agility is vital in this dynamic marketplace, requiring you to effectively cope with change and make decisions without always having complete information.
  • • You will coordinate with other customer-facing teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to elevate the customer experience and accelerate internal approaches to meet customer needs.
  • • Close coordination with the CAS, whose prioritized target lists you will overlay, and with Rare Disease ROC (Cross Functional Account Team) members, such as Key Account Managers, is expected.
  • • You will proactively gather insights from customers, understand the impact of market dynamics, and connect these insights to anticipate business opportunities and threats across local markets.
  • • Utilizing available market/customer data reports and applying these insights in local planning will be essential for strategic decision-making.
  • • Acting decisively by prioritizing resource utilization to meet customer needs demonstrates strong business acumen.
  • • You are expected to pursue individual learning opportunities, challenge yourself, and add value in your assignments, while also understanding and managing your interpersonal strengths and limitations.
  • • Being coachable and committed to elevating your individual capabilities through professional development is highly valued.
  • • You will coordinate and collaborate with colleagues to deliver appropriate resources to local customers, emulating best practices and sharing valuable customer insights.
  • • Engaging leadership proactively to drive innovation and new approaches that help exceed business objectives is encouraged.
  • • Facilitating open and honest conversations, providing candid, actionable, and solutions-focused feedback, and ensuring effective and compliant utilization of promotional materials are key cultural contributions.
  • • Ensuring successful and compliant selling activities of in-line products and adhering to all Corporate Policies and Procedures with integrity are paramount.
  • • This role requires a commitment to upholding Pfizer's high standards of business conduct in all job-related activities.
