  • • The Area Vice President, West - Structural Heart at Abbott Laboratories is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and growing Abbott’s presence in the US TAVR & TMTI market, driving commercial strategy and infrastructure for sustained growth in structural heart disease solutions.
  • • Day to day, the role involves developing sales strategies, building and managing high-caliber talent, shaping organizational culture, managing customer relationships, leading cross-functional launches, monitoring performance and costs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while traveling 50–75% of the time.
  • • Abbott is a global healthcare leader with 115,000 colleagues serving over 160 countries, with a mission to restore health and improve quality of life through innovative structural heart devices and management solutions that advance the standard of care.
  • • In this role, the individual can achieve market leadership for Abbott Structural Heart, build and scale a high-performing sales organization, influence strategic direction through data-driven decision making, and develop leadership expertise in a highly regulated, mission-driven healthcare environment.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree plus 15+ years of related work experience, with advanced degree preferred
  • • Minimum 15+ years of sales management experience required
  • • Minimum 10 years of experience in medical devices required
  • • Prior TAVR & TMTI experience preferred
  • • Experience working in a highly regulated, high-quality system environment with compliance to governmental regulations
  • • Ability to lead and motivate teams, manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate internally and externally
  • • Strong analytical, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills with experience presenting to hospital administrators, IDNs, and GPOs
  • • Process-oriented mindset with understanding of the relationship between process and strategy
  • • Experience with digital sales tools, sales force automation, and execution tools
  • • Proven ability to think strategically, develop frameworks, and drive messaging across dispersed commercial organizations
