Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As an Asset Surveyor at SFG20, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate, high‑quality asset intelligence that underpins professional services, technical credibility, and customer value by surveying, capturing, and analysing building services and fabric assets to ensure clients receive reliable asset registers, robust lifecycle data, and correctly aligned SFG20 maintenance schedules, directly supporting statutory compliance, planned maintenance strategies, and long‑term asset management.
- • Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, commercial success, and SFG20’s reputation within the built‑environment sector through the quality and accuracy of your surveys and reports, requiring comfort with regional and national travel (including regular overnight stays) and a full UK driving licence, while demonstrating integrity, technical expertise, and commitment to producing high‑quality, value‑adding audit reports.
- • You will carry out comprehensive site surveys across a wide range of building types including healthcare, education, commercial, manufacturing, and blue‑light environments, accurately recording mechanical, electrical, and fabric assets by capturing location and description, make, model, and serial numbers, condition rating, age, lifecycle, residual life, and the appropriate SFG20 maintenance schedule, while labeling, photographing, and documenting each asset to create a complete and auditable digital record and identifying visible hazards such as asbestos, fire safety, or water hygiene risks for appropriate escalation.
- • You will produce accurate and structured asset registers using survey findings and available O&M documentation, maintain consistently high standards of data quality, taxonomy, structure, and clarity, develop condition and lifecycle reports with clear technical observations and defect descriptions, and ensure all survey outputs meet client requirements, SFG20 standards, and industry best practice.
- • You will align surveyed assets with statutory requirements and SFG20 maintenance schedules, contribute to scopes of work and technical specifications for remedial or maintenance projects, support and where appropriate lead project activities such as kick‑off meetings, progress reviews, and handovers, and work collaboratively with colleagues across Professional Services, Sales, and client stakeholder teams.
- • You will work independently on the majority of assignments with occasional involvement in wider project teams, manage your time effectively to meet survey, reporting, and project deadlines, maintain strong technical knowledge and uphold safe working practices at all times, and travel across the UK including regular overnight stays where required.
