📋 Description

• Serverfarm is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Critical Facilities Manager to join our dynamic team in Hockley, TX. This pivotal role is instrumental in ensuring the continuous, reliable, and efficient operation of our state-of-the-art data center facilities. As an Assistant Critical Facilities Manager, you will work closely with the Critical Facilities Manager to oversee all aspects of data center operations, maintenance, and infrastructure, playing a crucial role in supporting the world's leading technology and hyperscale companies.
• Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of critical functions, including the proactive and reactive maintenance of all critical infrastructure systems. This includes, but is not limited to, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), generators, switchgear, cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, cooling towers), building management systems (BMS), fire suppression systems, and security systems. You will be involved in the planning and execution of preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring all equipment is operating at peak performance and minimizing the risk of downtime.
• A key aspect of this role involves actively participating in and supporting emergency response procedures. You will be trained to respond swiftly and effectively to any operational incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to our clients' services. This includes conducting thorough incident investigations, documenting findings, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Your ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure will be paramount.
• You will also be responsible for assisting in the management of vendor relationships and service contracts. This includes overseeing the work of third-party contractors, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and contractual obligations, and verifying the quality of their work. You will assist in the procurement process for parts and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
• This role requires a strong understanding of data center infrastructure and operational best practices. You will be involved in capacity planning, energy efficiency initiatives, and the implementation of new technologies to enhance facility performance and sustainability. • You will assist in maintaining comprehensive documentation of all facility operations, maintenance activities, and incident reports. • Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with internal teams, including IT operations, security, and project management, to ensure seamless integration and support for client needs. You will also be involved in site tours and client meetings, providing technical expertise and addressing facility-related inquiries.
• The Assistant Critical Facilities Manager will support the implementation and adherence to all safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel and contractors. 🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in a facilities management, operations, or technical role, preferably within a data center, industrial, or mission-critical environment.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
