Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • The Associate Director, Ad Tech & Operations at Wonder Technologies, Inc. (Tastemade) is a senior leadership role responsible for owning and scaling the advertising technology foundation of the company’s growing Connected TV (CTV) business. This role is critical to ensuring that Tastemade’s premium video content—spanning Food, Travel, and Home & Design—is monetized efficiently and reliably across programmatic and direct demand channels as audience reach and inventory scale.
- • You will own the end-to-end CTV Ad Tech stack, including architecture, configuration, and performance optimization across SpringServe (programmatic) and FreeWheel (direct demand). You will lead the technical design of demand prioritization, forecasting, and optimization systems, ensuring they evolve with growing supply, data capabilities, and partnership complexity. This is a hands-on, ownership-driven role focused on building durable systems—not just managing vendors or overseeing processes.
- • Day-to-day, you will operate and optimize programmatic demand through SpringServe, manage direct demand via FreeWheel, and establish Ad Tech standards, documentation, and lightweight operational processes that enable scale and reliability. You will partner closely with Yield to investigate performance anomalies, run experiments, and support revenue optimization; collaborate with Business Operations to ensure Ad Tech behavior is accurately reflected in forecasting, reporting, and revenue analysis; and work with Programmatic and Revenue Partnerships to translate deal ideas into technically sound, scalable monetization strategies.
- • You will manage relationships with Ad Tech vendors, lead evaluations and rollouts of new tools and capabilities, and ensure all systems and practices align with industry standards, compliance requirements, and best practices. Your work will directly impact revenue predictability, fill rates, and yield performance as Tastemade expands its CTV footprint across global streaming and social platforms.
- • You will join a team of award-winning lifestyle video storytellers at Tastemade, part of Wonder Technologies, Inc., a company recognized with over 65 industry awards including three Emmy® Awards, three James Beard Awards, and multiple Webby Awards. Tastemade has been twice named one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Companies,” and you’ll help shape how Ad Tech supports the monetization of content that inspires millions of monthly viewers to try new recipes, explore destinations, and elevate their living spaces.
- • In this role, you will gain deep ownership of a high-impact, growing CTV Ad Tech ecosystem, develop expertise in cross-functional alignment between tech, yield, sales, and operations, and build scalable systems that become the backbone of Tastemade’s revenue engine. You’ll have the opportunity to influence long-term architecture decisions, mentor junior team members, and leave a lasting technical legacy in a fast-moving, innovative media environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5-10+ years of hands-on experience in Ad Tech and ad operations, with strong, proven exposure to Connected TV (CTV) environments.
- • Demonstrated experience owning and optimizing CTV ad server environments, including demand prioritization, forecasting, and revenue optimization using platforms such as SpringServe and FreeWheel.
- • Deep understanding of the full Ad Tech ecosystem, including programmatic trading, data management, identity resolution, measurement, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, IAB).
- • Ability to fluidly move between high-level system design and hands-on technical execution, including configuration, debugging, and performance tuning.
- • Strong analytical mindset, detail-oriented, and naturally curious when investigating performance discrepancies or unexpected outcomes.
- • Motivated by ownership, impact, and building durable, scalable systems—not just managing processes or vendor relationships.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary of $174,000 (geographically adjusted for California Tier 1 remote work), with additional equity and 401(k) matching.
- • Comprehensive health benefits including multiple medical, dental, and vision plan options to suit diverse employee needs.
- • Access to Wonder’s broader benefits and perks ecosystem, including wellness programs, professional development support, and flexible work arrangements aligned with hybrid or remote preferences.
- • Opportunity to work with an award-winning, mission-driven team at Tastemade, part of Wonder Technologies, Inc., a company committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and fair hiring practices (including E-Verify participation).
