• • As an Associate Director within the Financial Crimes Advisory (FCA) team at AML RightSource, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering expert solutions for clients navigating the complex landscape of financial crime compliance.
• • This remote position within the U.S. requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of nine years of experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, and Fraud, coupled with at least five years in a leadership capacity.
• • Your core responsibility will be to leverage deep subject matter expertise to successfully lead and execute client projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and exceeding client expectations.
• • You will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives to expand the FCA practice, contributing directly to the firm's growth and reputation as a leading expert solutions provider.
• • The role demands a proactive and autonomous approach, with a strong emphasis on fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for junior team members through effective coaching and mentorship.
• • You will be expected to evaluate clients' financial crime programs against regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and provide actionable, value-added recommendations.
• • This includes conducting comprehensive gap analyses, developing robust policies and procedures, designing and transforming compliance programs, and overseeing regulatory remediation efforts.
• • You will also be involved in the validation and optimization of financial crime systems and models, ensuring clients are equipped with the most effective tools and strategies.
• • A significant aspect of the role involves preparing high-quality reports and written documentation using Microsoft Office Suite, communicating complex information clearly and concisely.
• • You will provide essential guidance and oversight to junior team members, meticulously reviewing their work and offering constructive feedback to foster their professional development and maintain the highest quality of deliverables.
• • Effective project management is critical, ensuring all engagements adhere to agreed-upon budgets and timelines while proactively identifying, escalating, and managing risks and issues.
• • You will serve as a key point of contact for clients, actively participating in and leading critical client meetings, and identifying opportunities for further engagement and service delivery.
• • Beyond client delivery, you will actively contribute to the firm's sales and go-to-market efforts, taking a leading role in Statement of Work (SOW) preparation, budgeting, and supporting broader sales initiatives.
• • Staying abreast of emerging regulatory requirements, guidance, and industry trends is paramount to providing cutting-edge advisory services.
• • Developing and nurturing a strong network of internal and external stakeholders within the financial crimes advisory services domain is also a key expectation.
• • Internally, you will lead by example, embodying the company's mission, core values, and strategic objectives, and championing revenue and profitability goals.
• • You will assist leadership in executing the growth strategy for the FCA practice, contributing to its expansion and success.
• • Training, mentoring, and developing FCA team members is a fundamental part of the role, including providing balanced performance reviews and serving as a People Leader.
• • For those with a Data & Analytics focus, a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information System Management, or Data Science is preferred, alongside 8+ years of experience in BSA/AML, Sanctions, and/or Fraud compliance.
• • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL and/or other relational databases (8+ years) and Python (6+ years) for data wrangling is required, along with deep Model Validation experience, ideally with Verafin.
• • Strong analytical and quantitative skills are essential to interpret data trends, perform reconciliation, and explain findings from regression models and other analytical techniques.
• • Seamless collaboration across Data and Advisory teams to deliver outcomes is a key performance indicator for D&A Associate Directors.
• • The role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating a proactive, self-starting attitude and a strong sense of ownership over deliverables and outcomes.
• • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for interacting with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
• • The ability to work effectively with diverse teams and adapt to changing client needs is crucial for success in this dynamic advisory role.
