- • As an Associate Director in Healthcare Performance Improvement with a focus on Technology (Automation) at BRG Communications LLC, you will be at the forefront of transforming healthcare operations through innovative automation solutions. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who can blend deep technical expertise in automation platforms with a strong understanding of healthcare business and financial principles. You will lead engagements, manage project lifecycles, and drive significant performance improvements for a diverse range of healthcare clients, including community hospitals, multihospital health systems, and academic medical centers.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to manage projects of varying sizes, acting as a key client contact and ensuring successful delivery. This involves meticulous planning, budgeting, execution, and client communication. You will be instrumental in developing solutions and crafting high-quality client deliverables, often drafting complex sections yourself. A significant part of your role will involve leading and mentoring project teams, delegating tasks effectively, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- • Beyond project execution, you will play a crucial role in business development. This includes expanding existing client relationships, identifying new opportunities, developing compelling project proposals, and contributing to thought leadership through papers, articles, and presentations. You will also take on managerial responsibilities within the office, contributing to recruiting, training, and staff coordination, thereby shaping the future of BRG's talent pool.
- • Technically, you will architect and lead the implementation of enterprise-wide automation solutions using leading platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Notable, and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps). You will serve as the technical and strategic lead, ensuring that all automation initiatives are scalable, maintainable, and align with enterprise architecture standards. A key aspect of this technical leadership is overseeing the quality, consistency, and governance of automation design patterns, reusable components, and development practices across the organization.
- • You will lead and mentor a team of automation developers and business analysts, establishing best practices and standards for design, testing, and deployment. Collaboration is central to this role; you will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to identify high-value automation opportunities and translate these into actionable solution roadmaps. Managing vendor and platform relationships will also be critical to staying abreast of product evolution and industry best practices.
- • Developing and communicating automation strategies and their associated business value cases to executive leadership will be a core function. You will stay current with emerging trends in low-code/no-code development, AI-enhanced automation (such as chatbots and document understanding), and agentic workflows, integrating these advancements into BRG's offerings. You will partner with operational support teams, internal business units, and vendors to analyze products and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and operational efficiencies.
- • Furthermore, you will collaborate with product owners and subject matter experts to ensure the adoption of platforms that maximize extensibility and provide necessary APIs for seamless future development. A vital part of your role will be supporting BRG Healthcare's sales efforts, leveraging your expertise to win new business and expand BRG's footprint in the healthcare technology consulting space.
- • This position offers significant advancement opportunities within a rapidly growing expert services and consulting firm. You will be expected to manage multiple engagements concurrently, create and adhere to engagement budgets and timelines, and successfully execute project plans. A high-level understanding of other BRG Healthcare practices and their interrelationships with technology is essential. You will also contribute to the professional development of BRG staff, both in project management and technical skills. Travel up to 50% is anticipated for this role.
