Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As an Associate Director, Paid Media at Directive Consulting, you will play a pivotal role in driving client success and organizational performance by leading paid media strategy and execution for SaaS and tech clients, directly influencing client retention, employee satisfaction, and company profitability through your leadership in goal setting, best practice enforcement, and barrier removal.
- • You will be responsible for setting quarterly and annual goals for every client engagement within your pod, ensuring alignment with Directive’s Customer Generation methodology that prioritizes SQLs and revenue over vanity metrics like MQLs, and tracking progress toward NSM attainment (100%), CSAT scores (4.2+), and biannual bookings targets ($150k per half-year).
- • You will enforce best practices across all paid media channels by ensuring LTV:CAC modeling is accurate, Share of SERP is maximized, Functional Content is deployed effectively, and Customer Generation principles are consistently applied to optimize campaign performance and client outcomes.
- • You will proactively identify and dismantle approval roadmaps by maintaining regular 1:1s with Strategists, diagnosing bottlenecks in campaign sign-off processes, and co-creating action plans to accelerate strategy execution and client buy-in.
- • You will lead with accountability and empowerment—not management—by establishing clear communication rhythms, setting expectations, providing proactive support, and fostering a culture where team members feel trusted, challenged, and equipped to excel in their roles.
- • You will stay ahead of industry evolution by actively exploring how AI and automation can enhance paid media efficiency, targeting, and reporting, positioning Directive as an innovative leader in B2B tech marketing.
- • You will operate within a high-performing, remote-first team that values psychological safety, continuous learning, and data-driven storytelling, collaborating closely with Strategists, SEO, Creative, and Revenue Operations specialists to deliver integrated campaigns that move the needle for clients.
- • Directive Consulting is a purpose-driven performance marketing agency built on the belief that marketing should generate real business outcomes—not just clicks or leads—making your role essential to proving the value of paid media in complex B2B sales cycles.
- • You will have the opportunity to grow into a strategic leader who shapes not only client campaigns but also internal processes, mentorship frameworks, and agency-wide best practices, with visibility into P&L impact and direct influence on organizational health.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience managing paid media campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, etc.) for B2B SaaS or technology clients, with demonstrated success in driving SQLs, pipeline, and revenue through strategic budget allocation and optimization.
- • Deep understanding of LTV:CAC modeling, Customer Generation methodology, and full-funnel attribution, with ability to translate complex metrics into actionable client recommendations and internal team guidance.
- • Strong leadership and communication skills, including experience setting goals, providing constructive feedback, removing operational barriers, and empowering cross-functional teams without relying on hierarchical authority.
- • Proficiency with paid media platforms, analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.), and reporting dashboards, coupled with comfort using Slack, Zoom, and other remote collaboration technologies.
- • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with exceptional self-discipline, time management, and proactive communication habits to maintain alignment across distributed teams.
- • Commitment to continuous learning, particularly around AI/automation applications in marketing, and a growth mindset that embraces experimentation, data-informed iteration, and industry trend monitoring.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary with performance-based bonus eligibility, tied to individual and pod-level achievement of NSM, CSAT, and bookings targets.
- • Comprehensive health coverage including 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision plans for employees, plus 50% employer contribution for dependents, alongside disability and life insurance.
- • Holistic well-being support: access to certified therapists via Spring Health, free Headspace membership, Gympass for fitness, and unlimited PTO (with 2-week minimum) plus company holidays, birthday off, and year-end recharge.
- • Financial wellness: Traditional and Roth 401(k) plans with 3% company match, annual tenure-based bonus that increases over time, and eligibility for an annual all-expenses-paid anniversary trip to Newport Beach, CA with executive leadership.
- • Remote work flexibility from anywhere in Canada with full work authorization, supported by stipend-equipped home office setup and access to Directive’s Irvine, CA offices when desired.
- • People-first culture committed to DEIB, psychological safety, and professional growth, with opportunities to shape agency practices and mentor junior talent in a values-driven organization.
