Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As an Associate Director, Paid Media at Directive Consulting, you will play a pivotal role in driving client success and business growth by leading paid media strategy and execution for SaaS and tech clients, directly impacting client retention, employee retention, and the company’s P&L through your leadership in a high-performance pod structure.
- • You will be responsible for setting client engagement goals, ensuring adherence to best practices across all paid media channels, breaking down approval barriers by supporting strategists, and fostering accountability through clear communication, structured cadences, and empowered team leadership—acting as a true leader, not just a manager.
- • You will partner closely with Strategists to align on strategy, anticipate and remove roadblocks in real time, and ensure campaigns are optimized for SQL generation and customer acquisition using Directive’s proprietary Customer Generation methodology, which prioritizes revenue-impacting metrics over vanity KPIs.
- • Your day-to-day will include conducting 1x1s with team members to review performance, identify blockers, and co-create action plans; analyzing campaign data to inform LTV:CAC modeling, Share of SERP, and Functional Content strategies; and presenting insights and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders with clarity and conviction.
- • You will contribute to hitting key pod-level goals: 100% NSM attainment, maintaining a CSAT of 4.2+, and driving $150k in bookings per half-year across your pod, while staying ahead of industry trends—especially AI and automation—to continuously enhance campaign performance and operational efficiency.
- • You will operate within a collaborative, remote-first culture that values autonomy, innovation, and continuous learning, where your expertise in paid media will be leveraged to elevate both client outcomes and team development through mentorship and strategic guidance.
- • Directive Consulting is a fast-growing performance marketing agency specializing in B2B SaaS and tech, known for its Customer Generation framework that shifts focus from MQLs to SQLs and actual revenue, offering a dynamic environment where strategic thinkers thrive and make measurable impact.
- • The company fosters a People First culture rooted in diversity, inclusion, and psychological safety, providing a supportive environment where you can grow professionally while contributing to meaningful work that helps clients achieve predictable, scalable growth.
- • In this role, you will develop advanced leadership skills in goal setting, cross-functional influence, data-driven decision-making, and client management—positioning you for future growth into senior leadership roles within the agency or broader marketing technology landscape.
- • You will gain deep expertise in Directive’s proprietary methodologies, including Customer Generation, LTV:CAC modeling, and Share of SERP, while sharpening your ability to translate complex analytics into actionable strategies that resonate with both technical and executive audiences.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience in paid media strategy and execution, preferably within B2B SaaS or tech industries, with a strong track record of driving SQLs, customer acquisition, and ROI through platforms like Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, and programmatic channels.
- • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, set clear goals, establish accountability frameworks, and drive performance through leadership—not management—with experience in pod-based or client-facing leadership roles.
- • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in interpreting campaign data, building LTV:CAC models, measuring Share of SERP, and optimizing for Functional Content and Customer Generation metrics.
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, navigate approval processes, and present complex strategies clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
- • Familiarity with AI and automation tools in marketing operations, and a proactive mindset toward learning and applying emerging technologies to improve campaign efficiency and performance.
- • Ability to thrive in a remote-first environment, with reliable internet access, a professional workspace, and the capacity to remain engaged and productive during extended virtual collaboration sessions.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive annual base salary range of $100,000–$135,000 USD, with potential for bonus eligibility based on tenure and performance.
- • Comprehensive health benefits including 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision plans for employees, plus 50% employer contribution for dependents, along with disability and life insurance coverage.
- • Robust wellness support: access to certified therapists via Spring Health, free Headspace membership for mental well-being, and Gympass for physical fitness.
- • Generous time-off policy: unlimited PTO (with 2-week minimum encouraged), paid company holidays, birthday off, and an annual end-of-year recharge (office closed Dec 24–Jan 1).
- • Financial wellness: traditional and Roth 401(k) options with a 3% company match, plus an annual bonus that scales with tenure.
- • Unique perk: annual anniversary trip to Newport Beach, CA, fully funded, to connect with peers and executive leadership in a fun, celebratory setting.
