Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As an Associate Director of Paid Search & Social at Directive Consulting, you will play a pivotal role in driving client success and organizational performance by leading a pod of strategists focused on generating qualified sales opportunities (SQLs) and revenue for B2B SaaS and tech clients through data-driven paid media strategies. Your leadership directly impacts client retention, team effectiveness, and the company’s profitability, making this a high-impact role where strategic vision meets operational excellence.
- • You will be responsible for setting clear, measurable goals for every client engagement within your pod, ensuring alignment with Directive’s Customer Generation methodology that prioritizes SQLs and revenue over vanity metrics like MQLs. This includes developing and refining LTV:CAC models, optimizing share of SERP, and guiding the creation of functional content that resonates with target audiences and drives conversion.
- • You will champion best practices across all paid search and social channels, ensuring campaigns are built on rigorous testing, audience targeting, bid strategies, and creative excellence. Your role involves staying ahead of platform algorithm changes, emerging ad formats, and privacy regulations to maintain competitive advantage for clients.
- • A core part of your role is identifying and dismantling barriers to campaign approval and execution—whether internal (team alignment, resource constraints) or external (client hesitation, compliance issues)—by facilitating proactive 1:1 conversations with strategists, diagnosing root causes, and co-creating actionable plans to unblock progress.
- • You will lead with accountability and empowerment, not management: establishing clear expectations, creating consistent rhythms for check-ins and reporting, providing timely feedback, and fostering a culture where strategists feel trusted to innovate while being supported to succeed. Your communication style will be concise, transparent, and solution-oriented.
- • You will be accountable for achieving key performance indicators: 100% NSM (Net New Sales) attainment, maintaining a CSAT score of 4.2+ across your pod, and contributing to $150k in bookings per half-year (H1 and H2) through effective client retention, expansion, and new business support.
- • You will continuously invest in your own growth by exploring how AI and automation can enhance campaign efficiency, reporting accuracy, and strategic insight—positioning yourself and your team at the forefront of innovation in B2B paid media.
- • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including SEO, Performance Creative, Revenue Operations, and Strategy to ensure integrated campaigns that deliver cohesive customer journeys from awareness to conversion.
- • You will mentor and develop strategists within your pod, identifying skill gaps, providing coaching, and advocating for their professional growth—contributing to Directive’s People First culture and high employee retention.
- • You will operate in a remote-first environment, leveraging Zoom, Slack, and other productivity tools to maintain strong team cohesion and client communication while enjoying the flexibility to work from anywhere in Canada with reliable internet and a professional home office setup.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience managing paid search and social campaigns (Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads) for B2B SaaS or technology clients, with a track record of driving SQLs, pipeline, and revenue growth.
- • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of marketing strategists, including setting goals, providing feedback, removing obstacles, and fostering accountability without micromanagement.
- • Deep expertise in LTV:CAC modeling, attribution frameworks, share of SERP analysis, and functional content strategy as applied to paid media campaigns.
- • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in interpreting campaign data, identifying trends, and making data-informed optimization decisions using platforms like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar.
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex marketing concepts into clear, actionable insights for both internal teams and executive-level clients.
- • Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment, with self-discipline, strong time management, and proficiency in collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, Asana/Trello, etc.).
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary with performance-based bonus eligibility, directly tied to pod-level NSM attainment, CSAT, and bookings targets.
- • Comprehensive health benefits including 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision plans for employees, plus 50% employer contribution for dependents, along with disability and life insurance coverage.
- • Generous time-off policy featuring unlimited PTO (with a 2-week minimum expectation), paid company holidays, birthday off, and an annual end-of-year recharge period (closed December 24–January 1).
- • Wellness perks including access to certified therapists via Spring Health, Headspace membership for mental wellness, and Gympass for physical fitness.
- • Financial wellness support through traditional and Roth 401(k) plans with a 3% company match, plus an annual tenure-based bonus that increases over time.
- • Unique cultural perk: an annual all-expenses-paid anniversary trip to Newport Beach, CA, to connect with peers and executive leadership in a relaxed, celebratory setting.
