📋 Description
- • Support global patent procurement, enforcement, freedom to operate (FTO), due diligence, litigation, and strategic business planning through expert patent research and competitive intelligence.
- • Develop and execute complex search queries for patentability, landscape, and FTO analyses in collaboration with patent attorneys and scientific teams to inform legal and business strategies.
- • Analyze, organize, and report structured findings on prior art, exclusivity, product characteristics, agreements, and competitive intelligence to guide patent strategy and decision-making.
- • Provide patent research support for due diligence activities related to external asset acquisitions and partnerships.
- • Maintain and manage comprehensive databases of research, development, commercialization data, prior art, regulatory exclusivity, and technical information relevant to pharmaceutical products.
- • Master and utilize advanced computer-based IP tools, including contributing to the development and refinement of artificial intelligence-driven platforms for competitive intelligence and technical data analysis.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with patent attorneys, scientists, and legal teams across global regions to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable patent insights.
- • Proactively identify emerging trends in pharmaceutical patents and regulatory landscapes to anticipate legal and competitive risks and opportunities.
- • Translate complex scientific and technical data into clear, concise, and legally relevant summaries for non-technical stakeholders.
- • Manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously with varying deadlines, ensuring alignment with attorney partners and business priorities.
- • Adapt quickly to evolving legal frameworks, regulatory requirements, and technological tools in global patent systems and pharmaceutical innovation.
- • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of patent searching, data organization, and reporting to ensure legal defensibility and strategic accuracy.
- • Influence and lead without direct authority by building trust and credibility with attorneys, scientists, and cross-functional teams.
- • Contribute to continuous improvement of patent research processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality of outputs.
- • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of organic chemical nomenclature and biological drug product terminology to accurately interpret and analyze technical disclosures.
- • Self-manage workload effectively, prioritize tasks based on legal urgency and business impact, and deliver high-quality results under tight timelines.
- • Work independently as an individual contributor while actively engaging as a collaborative team member in a global, matrixed environment.
