📋 Description
- • As an Associate Director, Solutions Execution at Oscar Health, you will be instrumental in driving the successful and high-quality delivery of our innovative insurance products throughout their entire lifecycle. This pivotal role acts as the operational core of our Product Management function, bridging the gap between strategic product vision and tangible, compliant execution. You will be the linchpin ensuring that product decisions are meticulously translated into accurate, controlled, and timely outputs, meeting both regulatory demands and member needs.
- • Your primary accountability will lie in the flawless execution of regulatory filings, ensuring all submissions are accurate, compliant, and submitted on schedule. This involves a deep understanding of the complex landscape of health insurance regulations and the ability to translate these requirements into actionable operational plans.
- • You will own and govern the Quality Assurance (QA) execution framework, establishing and enforcing rigorous validation processes. This includes overseeing the QA process for product execution to guarantee that product designs and all associated filing artifacts precisely mirror the approved product intent. Your role will be critical in defining quality thresholds, establishing clear escalation criteria for any identified defects or gaps, and implementing robust remediation workflows to ensure continuous improvement.
- • A key responsibility is the meticulous Product Validation Testing. You will ensure that all testing activities accurately reflect approved product designs, versions, and all pertinent regulatory requirements. This involves close collaboration with Product Managers to confirm testing scope, meticulously log, resolve, and obtain sign-off on all findings, and ensure that testing outputs are communicated effectively to the appropriate stakeholders at the right junctures.
- • You will lead the charge in Production, Publication, and Version Control. This entails orchestrating production readiness and publication processes, ensuring all necessary extracts are generated in strict accordance with the approved calendar and release schedule. A critical aspect of this is enforcing system freeze windows to prevent any unauthorized updates during crucial extraction or publication periods. Furthermore, you will champion and enforce version control standards, ensuring that the correct versions are consistently labeled, distributed, and retained as the definitive source of record.
- • As a leader in Vendor & Escalation Management, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all third-party vendors involved in product execution and QA. You will be responsible for overseeing vendor performance, capacity, and adherence to stringent quality and delivery expectations. This includes managing external vendors to ensure product designs and filing artifacts accurately reflect approved product intent, and partnering with product leadership and procurement teams on vendor optimization, performance management, and proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- • In your capacity for Cross-Functional Leadership & Enablement, you will act as the central hub for the product team, fostering seamless collaboration and communication. You will lead and manage regulatory filing and quality assurance teams, setting clear priorities, performance expectations, and robust development plans for your team members. You will own the end-to-end regulatory filing execution, serving as the cross-functional execution lead to ensure accuracy, compliance, and on-time submissions across all of Oscar’s service areas.
- • You will establish effective execution rhythms, diligently track key milestones, proactively surface potential risks, and drive swift issue resolution. Your insights and updates will be crucial in supporting leadership decision-making, providing clear, concise information and actionable recommendations. You will also mentor and lead associate-level execution staff, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the team's overall success.
- • This role demands a proactive approach to compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, ensuring that all operational activities adhere to the highest standards of legal and ethical conduct. You will also be expected to contribute to other assigned duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team's objectives.
