• • The Associate Director, State Public Policy/Government Relations will lead Zip’s U.S. state-level public policy and government affairs strategy to shape regulatory outcomes that enable responsible innovation in digital financial services while protecting customers and advancing Zip’s position as a trusted industry leader.
• • Day to day, the role involves monitoring and analyzing state legislation and regulatory proposals impacting consumer lending, BNPL, payments, data privacy, AI governance, and financial services innovation; drafting policy positions, comment letters, briefing materials, and executive memos; representing Zip at state hearings and industry forums; engaging with key legislative and regulatory stakeholders; leading advocacy campaigns and coalition-building efforts; and partnering cross-functionally with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Product, and Communications teams to align growth strategy with evolving regulatory landscapes.
