- • Join Oscar Health, a pioneering health insurance company leveraging a full-stack technology platform and a member-centric approach, as an Associate, Individual and Family Plan Insurance Solutions. This role is integral to our Insurance Product Development team, contributing to the end-to-end strategy, research, and delivery of our Individual & Family (IFP) and employer-subsidized insurance solutions.
- • You will report directly to the Vice President, Insurance Product Innovation and Development, operating at a horizontal level across various product lines. Your collaboration will extend to key stakeholders including product management, market leadership, actuarial, regulatory, operations, and analytics teams.
- • The core of your contribution will involve supporting critical product design decisions, ensuring filing readiness, and optimizing in-market performance through rigorous research, insightful analysis, and disciplined execution.
- • This is a fully remote position, requiring you to reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia. - • Product Strategy & Research:
- • Drive product strategy by identifying and providing key data and market insights that inform the design, launch, and ongoing management of our product portfolio. This involves analyzing current product performance, understanding the competitive landscape, and staying abreast of emerging industry trends.
- • For specific segments of the product portfolio, you will play a pivotal role in determining strategic product decisions, such as which products to introduce, modify, or discontinue, based on comprehensive product performance results and market dynamics.
- • Support the overarching product strategy development for both on-exchange and employer-subsidized offerings by conducting thorough market research, competitive analysis, and leveraging internal performance insights.
- • Conduct structured qualitative and quantitative research to provide foundational insights for product design decisions. This includes shaping benefit structures, defining cost-sharing approaches, and refining product positioning to meet market needs.
- • Proactively track and synthesize evolving regulatory, policy, and market developments, assessing their potential impact on our product offerings and strategic direction.
- • Support targeted research initiatives focused on specific populations and segments to gain a deeper understanding of member and employer needs across our diverse portfolios.
- • Cross-Functional Execution Support:
- • Facilitate the successful execution of product initiatives that span both IFP and employer-subsidized solutions, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
- • Assist in the meticulous development of product artifacts essential for regulatory filings, ensuring launch readiness, and adhering to internal governance processes.
- • Act as a key coordinator, gathering and aligning inputs from product, market, actuarial, regulatory, and operational teams to ensure comprehensive understanding and unified execution.
- • Diligently track timelines, dependencies, and potential risks across multiple concurrent workstreams, proactively identifying and mitigating challenges.
- • Performance Monitoring & Insight Development:
- • Support the continuous monitoring of post-launch product performance, focusing on key metrics such as growth, retention, utilization, and margin.
- • Develop and execute analyses to identify emerging risks, performance gaps, and opportunities for optimization within the product portfolio.
- • Prepare comprehensive materials to support post-launch reviews, facilitate remediation discussions, and inform future year planning and strategy.
- • Governance, Quality & Documentation:
- • Support the quality assurance (QA) and validation processes for product designs, filing materials, and all supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- • Assist in meticulously documenting assumptions, key decisions, and learnings to ensure auditability and provide a strong foundation for future product cycles.
- • Ensure strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations throughout the product lifecycle.
- • Undertake other duties as assigned to support the broader goals of the Insurance Product Development team.
