đź“‹ Description

  • • The Associate Insurance Account Manager at Branch Financial, Inc. plays a critical role in expanding and optimizing the company’s National Independent Agency, Aggregator, and Network partnerships, directly contributing to increased quote volume, policy production, and long-term profitability in a mission-driven insurance technology company.
  • • This role is essential to Branch’s goal of making insurance more accessible and affordable by leveraging data, technology, and automation to eliminate inefficiencies and pass savings to members, while redefining what it means to work in the insurance industry.
  • • Day to day, the Associate Account Manager owns decisions related to assigned national agencies and groups, including partnership activation, prioritization, optimization, and determining when to pause or exit underperforming relationships based on performance data and strategic fit.
  • • They make informed, timely decisions by analyzing data, partner feedback, and internal insights, escalating issues with clear recommendations and rationale rather than uncertainty, ensuring accountability and strategic alignment.
  • • They drive partner accountability by setting clear expectations for quote volume, bind ratios, and production growth, and holding agencies responsible for meeting agreed-upon targets through consistent follow-up and performance tracking.
  • • They proactively challenge partners to increase policy count, product adoption, and engagement through confident, sales-oriented conversations that position Branch’s value proposition and guide partners toward behaviors that increase policy production.
  • • They identify and address performance gaps by diagnosing root causes—such as pricing issues, process inefficiencies, training gaps, or low adoption—and implementing actionable plans to improve results and sustain growth.
  • • They maintain close follow-through after decisions and initiatives are launched, monitoring outcomes and adjusting strategy as needed to ensure measurable growth and long-term partnership success.
  • • They confidently deliver difficult messages to partners when expectations are not met, including resetting goals, changing approaches, or recommending a pause in the relationship, always grounded in data and mutual benefit.
  • • They use data to influence behavior, sharing insights and trends with partners to reinforce why increased engagement and policy volume matter for both Branch and the agency’s success.
  • • They act as a consultative driver, not an order-taker, guiding partners toward decisions that benefit both Branch and the agency through strategic, credible, and professional communication.
  • • The Associate Account Manager works within a remote-first culture where most team members work from home, with opportunities to connect in person at Branch’s headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, or regional offices in Missouri and Illinois, and participate in the annual company-wide event, BranchFest.
  • • They join a company committed to redefining insurance work culture—offering above-market pay, pay equity, remote work support, flexible time off with a $1,000 vacation stipend after one year, employee stock options, comprehensive health benefits, and 401(k) matching—all designed to empower employees to work and live to their fullest.
  • • In this role, the individual can develop deep expertise in property and casualty insurance partnerships, advanced account management, data-driven decision-making, and strategic influence in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment, positioning them for growth into senior account management, partnership leadership, or insurance strategy roles within Branch or the broader insurtech industry.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Property & Casualty insurance experience required; active Property & Casualty license preferred.
  • • 3–5 years of sales and/or marketing account management experience with a demonstrated ability to drive measurable growth and production.
  • • Strong decision-making capability, including the confidence to assess situations, make recommendations, and act without waiting for direction.
  • • Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • • Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace, remote collaboration tools, and agency quote/bind platforms.
  • • Strong communicator and relationship builder, able to confidently influence partners and represent Branch with credibility and professionalism.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Above-market salary with pay equity and transparency—compensation is driven by experience and performance, not demographics.
  • • Remote-first setup with work-from-home support, including monthly internet stipend and home office setup, plus access to Columbus headquarters and regional offices.
  • • Flexible YouTime: after one year, receive $1,000 toward your next vacation, in addition to encouraged time-off usage.
  • • Employee stock options, making you a part-owner in the company you’re helping to grow.
  • • Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage.
  • • 401(k) plan with company contribution matching to support long-term financial wellness.
