- • Manage all phases of litigation, arbitration, and pre-litigation disputes across commercial, consumer, and employment matters in the U.S. and Canada.
- • Oversee intellectual property matters including trademark and copyright enforcement, domain name disputes, and responses to cease-and-desist letters.
- • Partner directly with business teams to proactively identify legal risks and develop practical, business-aligned solutions that support Real’s technology-powered real estate platform.
- • Select, manage, and supervise outside counsel to ensure high-quality legal representation while maintaining cost-effective legal spend.
- • Lead internal investigations, subpoena responses, and e-discovery processes in close collaboration with IT and product teams.
- • Provide legal counsel to internal stakeholders on risk mitigation strategies that balance business objectives with compliance requirements.
- • Develop litigation strategies, support settlement negotiations, and assist with drafting motions, briefs, and other legal filings as needed.
- • Monitor and advise on evolving legal and regulatory developments that could impact the company’s operations in the U.S. and Canada.
- • Translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal business leaders across departments.
- • Maintain hands-on involvement in litigation workflows from initial dispute assessment through resolution, including trial preparation and post-judgment matters.
- • Utilize Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel to manage documents, communications, and case tracking.
- • Engage with legal technology and e-discovery platforms to streamline case management, document review, and discovery processes.
- • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration with teams in product, engineering, compliance, and human resources.
- • Operate within standard business hours Monday through Friday, aligned with local U.S. time zones.
- • Contribute to a culture of innovation by challenging assumptions, proposing smarter solutions, and prioritizing outcomes over effort.

- • Maintain active licensure in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and comply with all state bar requirements.

- • Support the legal and compliance team in scaling litigation infrastructure to meet the demands of a rapidly growing public company.
- • Participate in company-wide initiatives aimed at fostering inclusion, diversity, and equitable workplace practices.
