- • Avery Dennison is seeking a dynamic and analytical Associate Manager for its Global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to shape financial strategy and drive business performance on a global scale. You will be instrumental in leading critical financial processes, partnering with diverse business units, and leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver actionable insights.
- • As the Associate Manager, Global FP&A, you will take the lead in managing and refining the company's global budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. This involves not just the mechanics of these processes but also the strategic thinking behind them, ensuring alignment with Avery Dennison's overarching business objectives and market dynamics. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining sophisticated, dynamic financial models that serve as the bedrock for informed business decision-making across various levels of the organization.
- • A core responsibility will be the meticulous analysis of actual monthly financial results. This goes beyond simple reporting; you will delve deep into the Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheets, providing the business with in-depth, insightful analysis. You will conduct thorough variance analysis, identifying the root causes of deviations from budget and forecast, and translating these findings into clear, actionable recommendations. Your insights will be crucial in understanding revenue streams, cost drivers, and overall profitability, enabling proactive management and strategic adjustments.
- • The role demands the preparation of comprehensive monthly business review and operations review presentations. These presentations are key communication tools, synthesizing complex financial data into clear narratives for senior leadership and key stakeholders. You will need to present findings, trends, and strategic implications in a compelling and easily digestible format, facilitating informed discussions and decisions.
- • A significant aspect of this position involves robust Business Partnering and Strategy development. You will collaborate closely with regional finance teams, operations leaders, and commercial teams worldwide. This cross-functional collaboration is essential for driving financial performance and ensuring that financial strategies are integrated with operational realities and market opportunities. You will provide critical financial insights, develop scenario modeling capabilities to assess potential business outcomes, and actively support strategic business initiatives by offering financial guidance and analysis.
- • Furthermore, you will play a key role in optimizing cost structures and improving working capital management across the global organization. This involves identifying opportunities for efficiency gains, challenging existing expenditure, and implementing best practices to enhance financial health and resource allocation.
- • In the realm of Process Improvement & Systems Optimization, you will be a catalyst for change. You will proactively identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes. This will involve leveraging modern tools and techniques such as scripting (e.g., Python), APIs, and database integrations to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort. Ensuring data integrity and standardization across global financial systems is paramount, requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to best practices. You will also support the implementation of new FP&A tools and drive enhancements to our existing finance infrastructure, ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and fit for purpose.
- • Data & Reporting Automation is another critical pillar of this role. You will utilize a suite of powerful tools, including Google Sheets, SQL databases, and leading Business Intelligence (BI) platforms such as Looker, Tableau, and Power BI, to create interactive and insightful financial dashboards and reports. A key objective will be to build automated data pipelines that streamline the entire financial reporting and analysis workflow, freeing up valuable time for deeper strategic analysis. You will also focus on enhancing data visualization techniques to effectively communicate complex financial trends, performance metrics, and key insights to a diverse audience, ensuring that financial information is not only accurate but also impactful.
