đź“‹ Description
- • As an Associate Solution Engineer focused on SaaS Conversions at Epicor, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s strategic initiative to migrate customers from on-premise ERP systems to cloud-based SaaS solutions, directly impacting revenue growth, customer retention, and long-term platform adoption for Prophet 21 and Eclipse products.
- • You will collaborate cross-functionally with Distribution Account Managers, BDRs, Consulting Services, and the Cloud Center of Excellence to assess customer readiness, de-risk migrations, and ensure seamless transitions that align with business objectives and technical feasibility.
- • Day to day, you will partner with CAMs and customers to evaluate scope, risks, and readiness for SaaS migration, using structured discovery to uncover technical, operational, and organizational barriers early in the sales cycle.
- • You will lead the completion and validation of the SaaS Questionnaire with customers to identify potential risk areas related to customizations, integrations, data volume, and infrastructure, ensuring that only viable opportunities advance to the next stage.
- • You will collaborate with CAMs and Consulting teams to support the development of accurate Statements of Work (SOWs), translating technical findings into clear project scopes, timelines, and resource requirements that set expectations and prevent scope creep.
- • You will lead the process of collecting and validating work from the Custom Solutions Group (CSG) and Technical Solutions Group (TSG) to assess cloud compatibility, ensuring that existing customizations and extensions are either SaaS-ready or require remediation before migration.
- • You will provide a clear and effective handoff of all gathered information to Consulting teams, enabling them to design and execute SaaS conversion projects with minimal delays or rework due to missing or misunderstood requirements.
- • You will communicate the SaaS conversion process clearly and confidently during customer calls, workshops, and other engagements, acting as a trusted advisor who educates stakeholders on benefits, timelines, and change management considerations.
- • You will review and recommend applicable tools, methodologies, and alternative approaches to enhance SaaS readiness assessments, continuously improving the conversion playbook based on lessons learned from active projects.
- • You will work closely with internal SaaS stakeholders — including product, cloud infrastructure, and security teams — to identify, communicate, and mitigate systemic risks that could hinder adoption or customer satisfaction across the Distribution SaaS conversion pipeline.
- • You will support broader organizational goals by contributing to initiatives led by Distribution leadership and the Cloud Center of Excellence aimed at increasing SaaS conversion adoption rates, sharing insights, and helping refine best practices across the team.
- • Some travel is required to engage with key customers, attend internal workshops, or participate in regional sales kickoffs and customer events, typically up to 25% of the time.
- • You will bring a minimum of 1 year of presales experience within the ERP industry, with specific expertise in Prophet 21, or equivalent operational ERP experience that demonstrates deep familiarity with distribution industry workflows, pain points, and solution positioning.
- • You will have a proven background of success supporting both direct and channel sales motions, understanding how to navigate complex sales cycles involving VARs, distributors, and end-user customers.
- • You will possess documented experience delivering compelling customer presentations and demonstrations, translating technical capabilities into business value propositions that resonate with CIOs, operations leaders, and finance stakeholders.
- • You may have prior experience at companies such as Epicor, SAP, Microsoft, Infor, Sage, NetSuite, or other ERP providers or Value Added Resellers (VARs), giving you contextual knowledge of competitive landscapes and migration challenges.
- • You will have 1+ years of applicable experience and demonstrated success in the Distribution industry, understanding its unique demands around inventory management, supply chain logistics, warehouse operations, and B2B commerce.
- • You will hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, showing the ability to learn quickly, think analytically, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
