  • • The Associate Technical Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the successful deployment of wired and wireless IT infrastructure for high-growth enterprise clients, directly supporting Black Mountain Dynamics’ mission to scale secure, reliable network solutions for partners like Waymo.
  • • This position is essential for maintaining project momentum across 10–20 concurrent site build-outs, translating technical complexity into actionable plans that keep deployments on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client operational readiness.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting the Lead TPM in managing the full lifecycle of enterprise-scale IT network deployments, from initial planning through production launch, ensuring all phases are executed with precision and stakeholder alignment.
  • • The role involves coordinating cross-functional technical teams, including network engineers, construction trades, and IT vendors, to synchronize timelines, resolve dependencies, and maintain workflow continuity across multiple concurrent projects.
  • • The Associate TPM creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation such as technical specifications, deployment plans, site-specific requirements, and change logs, serving as the single source of truth for all stakeholders.
  • • They attend and often lead project status meetings, delivering clear, timely updates to internal teams and external clients, while tracking action items and ensuring follow-through on decisions.
  • • The position supports the development and maintenance of detailed project plans, including Gantt charts, resource allocation schedules, and milestone tracking, using project management software to monitor progress and forecast risks.
  • • Proactively identifying potential risks, bottlenecks, or compliance issues, the Associate TPM assists in developing mitigation strategies and escalating concerns when necessary to protect delivery timelines.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 1–3 years of experience managing or supporting IT projects, preferably in a fast-paced MSP or technology services environment.
  • • Foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure and basic understanding of networking technologies (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, WiFi).
  • • Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira, or similar).
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to translate technical requirements into clear, actionable tasks for diverse stakeholders.
  • • Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail, with proven ability to track complex, multi-variable project data accurately.
  • • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred, not required).
  • • Technical certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or progress toward PMP/CAPM (preferred).
