- • The Audit Retrieval Specialist plays a critical role in Sharecare’s mission to improve healthcare outcomes by ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant retrieval of medical records for audit purposes, directly supporting health plans, CMS campaigns, and institutional requestors in maintaining care quality and regulatory adherence.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include processing release of information requests, retrieving and scanning patient medical charts, validating audit requests against authorizations, maintaining client credentials and equipment, performing quality checks for HIPAA and audit compliance, and delivering excellent customer service while safeguarding patient privacy.
- • Sharecare is a digital healthcare leader that leverages AI-driven insights and a comprehensive platform to empower health plans, providers, and pharmaceutical companies to deliver personalized, value-based care at scale, with a strong commitment to improving well-being across the healthcare ecosystem.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in medical records management, HIPAA compliance, audit processes (including HEDIS, DRG, Risk Adjustment, and RAC), and healthcare operations—building a foundation for advancement in health information management, compliance, or healthcare administration.
🎯 Requirements
- • High School Diploma or GED required
- • Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical records department or similar healthcare setting preferred
- • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to type 50 WPM; proficiency with fax, copier, and scanning equipment
- • Excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, teamwork, customer service orientation, and ability to multi-task under deadlines
- • Willingness to learn new equipment and processes quickly; ability to work remotely with required geographical proximity to assigned client sites for on-site support
