📋 Description
- • Join Aero, a pioneering company redefining air travel by offering a modern, premium flight experience inspired by the golden age of aviation. We provide direct, comfortable, and low-contact journeys through private terminals, ensuring an effortlessly fabulous experience for our guests. At Aero, we believe our people are the foundation of our success, and we are committed to fostering a culture of transparency, support, accountability, and fulfillment, building trust and purpose in everything we do.
- • As a Safety, Security, and Compliance Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in upholding Aero's commitment to the highest standards of operational integrity. Reporting to the Manager of Safety, this full-time, US Remote position is crucial for ensuring that all company operations adhere to rigorous internal and external regulatory frameworks.
- • Your primary responsibility will be the meticulous planning, preparation, and execution of internal audits. This encompasses a broad spectrum of critical areas, including the Internal Evaluation Program (IEP), Compliance Monitoring, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations (both Federal and State), the Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Program, and our comprehensive Security Program. These audits will be conducted in strict accordance with Aero's Safety Management System (SMS), Company Security Manual (CSM), Ground Safety Program, Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program (ADAMP), and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to meticulously ensure that company procedures are not only compliant with all relevant federal and state regulations but also align seamlessly with Aero's overarching corporate policies. This requires a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable operational guidelines.
- • You will be responsible for conducting thorough in-briefs and out-briefs with organizational leadership at various levels. These sessions are vital for setting the scope of audits, communicating findings, and ensuring a shared understanding of compliance status and areas for improvement.
- • Following each audit, you will be tasked with identifying and meticulously documenting all audit results and any identified non-conformities. This documentation forms the basis for corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- • You will be instrumental in creating comprehensive audit reports that clearly articulate findings, risks, and recommendations. These reports are essential tools for management to make informed decisions regarding safety, security, and compliance.
- • A significant part of your role involves managing and inputting all audit data into Aero's SMS platform. This centralized data management is critical for tracking progress, identifying trends, and maintaining a robust compliance record.
- • You will leverage your analytical skills to analyze IEP data trends. This proactive approach will enable you to identify organizational top risks and pinpoint specific areas where improvements are most needed, thereby enhancing overall operational safety and security.
- • Based on your audit findings and data analysis, you will formulate and recommend policy and procedure changes. These recommendations will be presented to safety and security leadership, aiming to drive process improvements and strengthen our compliance posture.
- • Effective communication of your findings is paramount. You will communicate audit results and recommendations clearly and concisely to all levels of organizational leadership, ensuring buy-in and facilitating the implementation of corrective actions.
- • A critical follow-up responsibility is to monitor and verify that all audit findings and any potential FAA inspection findings are corrected promptly. You will ensure that corrective actions are not just documented but are effectively implemented and integrated into day-to-day operations.
- • Staying abreast of the ever-evolving regulatory landscape is essential. You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of all applicable standards, laws, and regulations, and proactively update internal processes to reflect any changes in regulatory requirements.
- • This role will also involve supporting broader regulatory compliance duties. This may include follow-ups related to Voluntary Disclosure Reporting Program (VDRP) activities, managing regulatory correspondence, and conducting special investigations as directed by safety department leadership.
- • You will also be expected to undertake other tasks as assigned by the safety department leadership, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the team's overall objectives.
- • This position requires up to 50% travel, allowing you to engage directly with various operational sites and personnel across the organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • High school diploma or equivalency.
- • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) or aviation compliance auditing.
- • Demonstrated experience in communicating and collaborating effectively with multiple diverse groups across organizations, both internally and externally.
- • Proven ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision and consistently complete projects within assigned timelines.
- • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- • Ability to obtain and retain an airport SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) / AOA (Air Operations Area) badge as necessary.
- • Hold a valid US passport or permanent residency, with the ability to work in the USA, and be eligible for international travel.
- • Must pass a TSA Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
