- • The Authorization & Eligibility Specialist at Anna Autism Care plays a critical role in ensuring timely access to care by verifying insurance coverage and obtaining prior authorizations, directly supporting families in accessing benefits and minimizing delays in service initiation.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include verifying client insurance eligibility and active coverage, reviewing benefit details (copays, deductibles, visit limits), confirming in-network/out-of-network status, identifying services requiring prior authorization, submitting and tracking authorization requests, coordinating with clinical teams to align authorizations with treatment plans, and maintaining accurate documentation in the practice management system.
- • Anna Autism Care (operating as Allied Network for Neurodevelopmental Advancement) is a mission-driven organization focused on supporting neurodevelopmental advancement, particularly in autism care, with a commitment to equity, inclusion, and accessible services for families.
- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in healthcare reimbursement workflows, gain experience navigating complex payer systems (including Medicaid and commercial insurers), strengthen cross-functional collaboration skills with clinical and billing teams, and contribute directly to improving patient access and revenue cycle efficiency.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 1-2 years in insurance verification and prior authorizations
- • Working knowledge of health insurance payers (Commercial, Medicaid, Managed Care)
- • Experience verifying benefits and submitting authorizations through payer portals
- • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in documentation
- • Effective communication skills for collaboration across clinical and operations teams
- • Experience with behavioral health and/or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy (preferred)
