- • The Autism Service Team Manager role at Paloma Health UK Limited is pivotal in leading and mentoring a team of Neurodevelopmental Assessors delivering autism assessment services, directly contributing to the mission of reducing NHS waiting times for children’s autism and ADHD assessments from years to within 4 weeks of GP referral.
- • Day to day, the role involves line managing a growing team of neurodevelopmental assessors, fostering a person-centred and collaborative culture, inputting into staff capacity modelling and hiring plans, supporting staff to achieve KPIs and career development, analysing workforce data to improve absence, turnover and utilisation, participating in safeguarding activities, partnering with the People Team on compliance (DBS, registration, CPD), and researching best practices to drive continuous improvement in workforce management.
- • Paloma Health is a fast-growing, mission-driven organisation founded to address delays in NHS neurodevelopmental services, backed by £5m pre-seed funding from Triple Point Ventures and Heal Capital, with a team of 80 growing to ~180 in 12 months, combining clinical leadership, proprietary software and AI tools, and a culture of transparency, innovation, and staff development.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in workforce planning, performance management, and safeguarding within a healthcare tech context, gain experience scaling teams in a high-impact NHS-aligned environment, and progress toward senior leadership opportunities such as Senior Team Manager, while contributing to meaningful improvements in patient access and staff experience.
🎯 Requirements
- • At least 4 years of experience directly managing 10-15 person teams in fast growing environments, including leading areas such as rota and scheduling, professional development, performance management and supporting staff wellbeing
- • Excellent influencing skills and able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
- • Experience working cross-functionally to improve service quality and efficiency
- • Able to balance continuous workforce improvement alongside increasing and changing service demand
- • Experience in creating, delivering and improving training programmes
- • Confident in using Google Sheets or Excel to look at and drive insights from data, and then use these to launch improvement initiatives
- • Excellent coaching skills, with the ability to mediate and resolve conflict situations successfully
