📋 Description
- • The Automotive Business Development Director (Midwest & Midcentral) drives profitable business growth by acquiring new client partnerships within an assigned geographic territory, working independently and with field teams to maximize profit opportunities for dealers.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include generating new business through understanding dealership needs, presenting value propositions, establishing and maintaining dealer relationships, overseeing product launches, collaborating with cross-functional teams on marketing strategies, attending industry events, ensuring accurate sales reporting in Salesforce, and undertaking domestic travel as required.
- • Assurant Dealer Services is a leader in F&I and overall dealer performance, known for increasing profitability while delivering exceptional experiences through innovative digital solutions, adaptive products, and forward-thinking training that helps build the dealership of the future.
- • In this role, the individual will develop and oversee consistent sales processes, contribute to strategic business growth initiatives, refine business development strategy, and gain deep expertise in automotive F&I, reinsurance structures, and dealer partnership management while operating with significant autonomy and impact.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 10 years of successful B2B sales experience in F&I products, training, and reinsurance (15 years preferred)
- • Experience in retail management within the automotive industry is desirable
- • Knowledge of various reinsurance structures available to automotive dealers is highly preferred
- • Excellent sales, negotiation, and team building skills required
- • Proficiency in PowerPoint and all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Copilot, etc.)
- • Excellent oral and written communication skills
- • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel (50% travel required)
- • Extensive contacts and strong knowledge of F&I products, training, and reinsurance structures
