- • The AVP, Finance provides financial oversight, leadership, and support to the market/corporate, ensuring proactive collaboration with and support for analyses conducted by areas outside the Finance Department.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the execution of the annual budget and quarterly forecast, conducting budget-to-actual analysis monthly, supporting proforma work for RFPs, mergers and acquisitions, overseeing the Workforce Planning tool (SAC), and leading project governance meetings for ROI analysis and accruals.
- • The role involves guiding data compilation for strategic plans, ensuring compliance with Model Audit Rule requirements for Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting, and participating in leadership meetings on strategic planning, enterprise risk management, and business development.
- • The AVP, Finance will develop and implement efficient processes, lead and develop departmental staff, and utilize accounting expertise to ensure timely and accurate GAAP or STAT-compliant financial reporting while driving cost savings and efficiency across the organization.
- • This role offers the opportunity to act as a strategic thought partner for business owners, influence long-term financial strategy, and gain deep exposure to healthcare finance, mergers and acquisitions, and enterprise-wide financial planning and analysis in a mission-driven organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience
- • Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in accounting/finance, including at least eight (8) years of management experience
- • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or Statutory Accounting Principles (STAT)
- • Ability to lead and direct the work of others, including staff development, motivation, and rewarding
- • Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft Office
- • Knowledgeable of internal control framework
