- • Lead enterprise sales strategy and execution to drive revenue growth across U.S. health systems, including Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) and large hospital networks.
- • Build and manage executive-level relationships with C-Suite leaders, surgeons, OR directors, IT teams, biomedical engineers, and hospital administrators to drive adoption of Apella’s computer vision and machine learning solutions in surgical care.
- • Consistently exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas through disciplined pipeline management, strategic account planning, and enterprise sales execution in the MedTech and healthcare technology space.
- • Lead end-to-end negotiation of multi-million dollar system-wide contracts, including responding to and winning complex Request for Proposals (RFPs) and structuring innovative contracting models tailored to healthcare procurement processes.
- • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product, R&D, and customer success teams to align sales efforts with product development, accelerate customer onboarding, and ensure long-term customer retention and expansion.
- • Represent Apella as a trusted advisor and credible industry voice at healthcare conferences, executive forums, and client sites, articulating the clinical and operational value of the company’s technology.
- • Contribute to revenue forecasting, territory planning, and the design of scalable, repeatable sales processes that support sustainable growth in a rapidly evolving healthtech market.
- • Develop and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and mission-driven performance focused on improving surgical outcomes.
- • Identify and penetrate new markets by converting zero-to-scale opportunities within untapped health systems and expanding Apella’s footprint in existing accounts through upsell and cross-sell initiatives.
- • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving clinical, financial, operational, and IT decision-makers, balancing startup agility with enterprise-grade sales rigor and compliance.
- • Maintain a deep understanding of the healthcare capital equipment and MedTech landscape, including competitive offerings in OR video integration, surgical workflow software, and AI-driven clinical tools.
- • Drive market intelligence gathering by monitoring trends in healthcare policy, hospital budgeting cycles, and technological adoption patterns to inform sales strategy and product feedback loops.
- • Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and procurement standards while positioning Apella’s technology as a mission-critical solution for enhancing patient safety and surgical quality.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales with a proven track record of exceeding quota in MedTech, medical devices, or healthcare capital equipment
- • Strong relationships and deal-making experience with Tier 1 health systems and IDNs (e.g., HCA, CommonSpirit, Mercy Health)
- • Proven success selling both disruptive technologies (healthtech, robotics, SaaS) and established portfolios (OR video integration, capital equipment)
- • Demonstrated ability to develop new markets from zero-to-scale and consistently rank among top performers (President’s Council, Rep of the Year, Quota Exceeder)
- • Deep expertise in complex enterprise sales, including multi-stakeholder negotiations, RFPs, and creative contracting models
- • Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor peers and influence cross-functional teams
