• • As an Azure Cloud Infrastructure & Applications Support Specialist at CalcAir, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and robust security of our Azure cloud environment and the applications hosted within it. This hybrid role demands a unique blend of cloud infrastructure management expertise and application-level support acumen, making you an indispensable asset to both our internal operations and our client-facing solutions.
• • Your primary responsibility will involve the meticulous provisioning, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of critical Azure resources. This includes, but is not limited to, virtual machines (VMs), storage accounts, virtual networks, and Azure SQL databases. You will be tasked with ensuring these resources are optimally configured for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, adhering strictly to best practices.
• • A significant part of your role will be dedicated to administering and optimizing our Azure DevOps environments. This encompasses managing CI/CD pipelines, maintaining code repositories, and ensuring appropriate access controls and permissions are in place. Your efforts here will directly contribute to streamlining our development and deployment processes, enabling faster and more reliable software releases.
• • You will be instrumental in planning and executing software deployments, encompassing applications, data, and databases. A key objective will be to minimize downtime during these critical operations, ensuring business continuity and a positive user experience for our clients.
• • Proactive monitoring of system performance, security posture, and overall availability across all Azure-hosted environments will be a core duty. You will leverage monitoring tools to identify potential issues before they impact users, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain optimal system health.
• • Providing comprehensive application support to our clients will be a crucial aspect of this position. This includes assisting with application deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting, acting as a primary point of contact for technical issues related to their software solutions.
• • Close collaboration with our software development teams is essential. You will work hand-in-hand with developers to ensure that applications are designed, deployed, and maintained in harmony with infrastructure best practices, fostering a cohesive and efficient development lifecycle.
• • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of all infrastructure configurations, operational processes, and troubleshooting procedures is a non-negotiable requirement. This documentation will serve as a vital resource for the team and for future reference.
• • You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust backup, disaster recovery, and security compliance protocols. Ensuring the integrity and availability of our data, and adherence to security standards, will be paramount.
• • Acting as a key liaison between the cloud infrastructure management team and the client software support teams, you will bridge the gap between system operations and end-user assistance, ensuring a unified approach to problem-solving.
• • In addition to your core cloud and application support duties, you will also provide local IT support for CalcAir employees, addressing ad-hoc technical and equipment requirements to ensure our internal team is well-equipped and productive.
• • This role requires a proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for detail, capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be critical to your success.
