📋 Description

• • Own the entire back-end life-cycle of Codekeeper’s flagship software-escrow platform—from feature ideation and architecture design to deployment and performance tuning—while working 100 % remote alongside a tight-knit, product-driven team.
• • Architect and extend our Ruby on Rails monolith and its constellation of services, ensuring that every new endpoint is secure, idempotent, and blazingly fast for customers who rely on us to safeguard mission-critical source code.
• • Pair daily with front-end engineers who wield React; you’ll design JSON contracts, optimize GraphQL queries, and occasionally dive into TypeScript to unblock teammates and deliver seamless user experiences.
• • Write lightweight, battle-tested Ruby that is easy to refactor tomorrow; expect 90 % + test coverage via RSpec, strict RuboCop rules, and a peer-review culture where constructive feedback is celebrated.
• • Deploy multiple times a day to AWS (ECS Fargate, RDS Postgres, S3, CloudFront, and Lambda) using fully automated CI/CD pipelines built on GitHub Actions; you’ll monitor, alert, and autoscale everything with CloudWatch and Datadog.
• • Champion observability: craft custom metrics, distributed traces, and structured logs so that when something breaks at 3 a.m. you can pinpoint the issue before customers notice.
• • Collaborate with product, legal, and security teams to translate complex escrow workflows—source-code verification, release-condition triggers, immutable audit trails—into elegant, regulation-compliant APIs.
• • Experiment freely: prototype new features behind feature flags, run A/B tests, and roll back in seconds if the data says “nope.”
• • Contribute to our engineering culture by leading lunch-and-learns, writing internal tech blogs, and mentoring junior developers who are eager to level up their Ruby game.
• • Participate in quarterly on-call rotation (compensated) where you’ll refine runbooks, practice incident drills, and turn every page into a post-mortem that makes the system more resilient.
