Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • The BCBA Fellowship- Path to Practice Ownership at Finni Health Inc. is a transformative 6-month residency designed for certified BCBAs who aspire to launch and own their own applied behavior analysis (ABA) practice but seek structured support to overcome the common barriers of startup costs, administrative complexity, and market entry. This program is not a traditional employment role but a strategic launchpad that enables clinicians to build clinical expertise and business acumen simultaneously, ultimately transitioning to independent practice ownership with ongoing backend support from Finni.
- • Day to day, the fellow will manage a full caseload of ABA clients within one of Finni’s established high-growth hubs, delivering direct clinical supervision, developing individualized treatment plans, conducting parent training, and ensuring compliance with state and funding source regulations. They will also engage in regular case reviews, data analysis for treatment efficacy, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to maintain high-quality care standards.
- • In addition to clinical duties, the fellow will participate in bimonthly in-person Practice Owner (PO) Onboarding sessions, where they receive hands-on training in critical business functions such as insurance billing and reimbursement processes, HIPAA and state compliance protocols, staff recruitment and retention strategies, financial management for small practices, and local community networking to build referral pipelines.
- • The fellow will work closely with a veteran Clinical Owner mentor who provides guidance on Finni’s proprietary operational systems, helping to streamline documentation, scheduling, and client intake workflows to ensure clinical operations are efficient, scalable, and audit-ready.
- • As part of the program, Finni generates eight pre-qualified leads in the fellow’s specific home market during the residency, allowing them to begin building a client base in their target location before transitioning out of the program, significantly reducing the time and uncertainty typically associated with launching a new practice.
- • Upon completion of the residency and successful demonstration of clinical and operational readiness, the fellow transitions to launching their own branded ABA practice in their home territory, retaining full clinical and business autonomy while continuing to benefit from Finni’s backend administrative support, including billing, compliance monitoring, and access to negotiated vendor rates.
- • The role is ideal for BCBAs who are not only clinically excellent but also possess an entrepreneurial mindset—those who are motivated to build a lasting legacy in their community, create jobs for other behavior technicians, and shape the future of ABA service delivery through innovation and patient-centered care.
- • Finni Health Inc. is a mission-driven organization dedicated to expanding access to high-quality ABA services by empowering clinicians to become practice owners. By removing traditional barriers to entry through mentorship, funded travel, lead generation, and operational infrastructure, Finni fosters a new model of clinician-led entrepreneurship that enhances both professional satisfaction and community impact.
- • Through this fellowship, the participant will gain comprehensive, real-world experience in both clinical leadership and small business management—skills that are rarely taught in traditional BCBA training programs but are essential for long-term success in private practice. They will develop confidence in navigating complex reimbursement systems, leading teams, and making strategic decisions that drive practice growth and sustainability.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active and current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- • Minimum of two years of post-certification clinical experience delivering ABA services, with demonstrated success in client outcomes and parent satisfaction
- • Willingness and ability to travel bimonthly for in-person training sessions, with all associated costs covered by Finni
🏖️ Benefits
- • $45,000 stipend for the 6-month residency period, equivalent to an annualized salary of $90,000
- • 100% coverage of all travel expenses for bimonthly in-person onboarding, including flights, accommodations, and meals
- • Access to Finni’s proprietary practice management systems, including billing, compliance, scheduling, and client relationship tools
- • Mentorship from experienced Clinical Owners who have successfully launched and scaled their own ABA practices
- • Post-residency transition support to launch an independent practice in the fellow’s home market, including eight pre-qualified leads and ongoing backend administrative support
