  • • As a Benefits Analyst specializing in Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs) at LifeWorks Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in a critical aspect of benefits administration, ensuring the equitable distribution of retirement assets during complex life events.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously process and evaluate draft and court-executed domestic relations orders (DROs), ensuring strict adherence to ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, and specific client plan requirements across various retirement plans, including 401(k), Profit Sharing, and Defined Benefit Pension Plans.
  • • You will be the key point of contact for a range of stakeholders, including plan participants, their former spouses, legal representatives, and other QDRO specialists, responding to inquiries and legal documents with precision and clarity through both customized and system-generated correspondence.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve performing intricate calculations related to earnings and losses within retirement plans to accurately determine and segregate spousal awards as mandated by court orders.
  • • You will provide expert-level customer service, offering guidance and support to plan participants, their dependents, retirees, attorneys, and child support agencies concerning the intricate details of benefit program requirements and provisions.
  • • Maintaining an up-to-date and comprehensive understanding of IRS and DOL regulations pertinent to domestic relations matters and specific plan guidelines will be essential for ensuring compliance and accuracy in all your work.
  • • Before any benefit-related information is released, you will be responsible for verifying that all necessary and proper authorization forms are on file, safeguarding participant data and plan integrity.
  • • You will be tasked with establishing and diligently maintaining accurate database records, closely monitoring system-generated reports and tickler systems to ensure all actions and correspondence are meticulously documented for auditability and reference.
  • • Upholding the highest standards of confidentiality will be paramount; you must ensure that plan information is never released inappropriately and handle sensitive calls with the utmost professionalism and neutrality, even in challenging situations.
  • • Daily interaction with client contacts and third-party administrators will be a core function, involving the gathering of essential participant information, placing necessary account restrictions, and clearly communicating the terms of qualified court orders.
  • • You will engage in discussions to confirm plan provisions and policy details, particularly for escalated or complex cases, requiring a deep understanding of the plans you support.
  • • Consistently meeting and exceeding departmental productivity and accuracy standards is a key performance indicator for this role, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery.
  • • You will also contribute to the smooth operation of the department by supporting special projects and undertaking other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to team success.
  • • This role offers the opportunity to work remotely, providing flexibility while contributing to a global-leading health and well-being provider that is dedicated to improving health outcomes for individuals and organizations through innovative technology and personalized care.

  • • You will contribute to a company that values diversity and inclusion, with a commitment to equal opportunity employment and providing accommodations for applicants with disabilities.
  • • The role requires a proactive approach, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to navigate complex legal and financial information with confidence and accuracy, making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals during significant personal transitions.
