  • • Own the end-to-end business analysis lifecycle for a high-stakes, enterprise-wide finance & accounting system transformation that will replace TELUS Health’s legacy accounting platform with a modern, cloud-native solution. You will translate complex pension and benefits finance requirements into clear, testable user stories and functional specifications that serve both internal operations and external client implementations.
  • • Lead discovery workshops with Finance, Actuarial, Payroll, and Client Services stakeholders to elicit pain-points, regulatory constraints, and future-state visions. Synthesize findings into current-state process maps, gap analyses, and prioritized backlogs that directly influence the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) program increment planning.
  • • Architect high-level solution designs in partnership with Enterprise Architects and the Product Owner, ensuring alignment to TELUS Health’s technical roadmap, security standards, and pension industry regulations (e.g., IFRS, CIA, CRA). Produce detailed functional designs covering chart-of-accounts structures, multi-currency consolidation, automated accruals, pension liability calculations, and integration touchpoints with HR, payroll, and benefits administration systems.
  • • Decompose epics into small, user-valuable increments that can be delivered in two-week sprints. Collaborate with developers and QA analysts to clarify acceptance criteria, edge cases, and non-functional requirements (performance, auditability, data retention). Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and system demos to ensure continuous feedback and rapid value realization.
  • • Provide hands-on support during configuration, data migration, and user-acceptance testing phases. Design and execute test scenarios for complex pension transactions, year-end adjustments, and actuarial valuation uploads. Coordinate defect triage and resolution, ensuring zero-regression releases into production.
  • • Create and maintain a living knowledge base: release notes, user guides, process workflows, and training materials for finance super-users and external clients. Ensure documentation is bilingual (French & English) and accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • • Act as escalation point for critical production incidents impacting financial close or regulatory reporting. Lead root-cause analysis sessions, quantify business impact, and drive corrective action plans that safeguard data integrity and stakeholder trust.
  • • Champion continuous improvement by monitoring post-implementation KPIs (close-cycle time, reconciliation accuracy, user adoption). Feed insights back into the product roadmap to unlock further automation, analytics, and self-service capabilities.
  • • Foster a culture of collaboration across geographically distributed Agile teams (Canada, U.S., and LATAM). Facilitate virtual workshops, retrospectives, and communities of practice to share domain expertise and elevate overall finance-technology fluency within TELUS Health.
  • • Influence strategic decisions at the portfolio level by presenting business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments to senior leadership. Your recommendations will shape multi-million-dollar investments and set new industry benchmarks for pension & benefits finance operations.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Management, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or equivalent
  • • 5+ years of progressive experience in business analysis, with at least two full-lifecycle implementations of enterprise-grade financial or accounting systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, Workday Financials, or similar)
  • • Fluency in both French and English (verbal and written) to conduct bilingual workshops, author documentation, and support Quebec-based and pan-Canadian stakeholders
  • • Demonstrated ability to translate complex finance & pension regulations into clear functional requirements and solution designs
  • • Proven experience working in an Agile environment; SAFe certification or hands-on SAFe delivery experience strongly preferred
  • • Holding a Canadian CPA, CFA, or other recognized accounting designation is considered a significant asset
