📋 Description
- • Wrike, a leading work management platform, is seeking a meticulous and driven Billing & Collections Specialist to join its Finance team in Bangalore. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial integrity of the company by managing the end-to-end billing and collections processes for a global customer base. By accurately processing invoices, allocating payments, and managing customer contracts, you will directly contribute to Wrike's revenue streams and maintain a seamless customer experience, underpinning the company's operational excellence and financial health. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of Finance, Sales, and Operations within a dynamic SaaS environment, providing exposure to critical quote-to-cash processes.
- • In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining accurate and timely billing cycles, ensuring that all invoices are generated correctly and sent to customers in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and specific customer agreements. A significant part of your daily responsibilities will involve proactive outreach to customers via email and phone to collect outstanding invoices, thereby ensuring prompt payment and minimizing accounts receivable. You will meticulously allocate incoming funds to the appropriate invoices and customer accounts, maintaining precise financial records. Furthermore, you will be responsible for reviewing, validating, and processing customer contracts within our CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) and Salesforce (SFDC) systems, ensuring that all contractual terms are accurately reflected and that customers are provisioned correctly according to these agreements. Your work will directly impact the fulfillment of contractual obligations for our clients.
- • You will act as a key operational and process support resource for various internal departments, including Sales, Renewals, Legal, Customer Support, and Customer Success. This involves collaborating closely with these teams to help structure deals and contracts, finding optimal solutions that align with sales objectives while strictly adhering to company guidelines and system rules. A critical aspect of the role includes validating or escalating exceptions and customization requests that arise during the contract and billing process. You will be expected to work daily within a suite of essential business tools, including SFDC, CPQ, NetSuite, Wrike itself, and Zendesk, to manage billing activities and customer requests efficiently. Troubleshooting system limitations or issues related to billing and contracts will also be a part of your responsibilities, requiring a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. You will also be the first point of contact for various customer queries, including handling cancellation requests and completing vendor forms, ensuring a professional and timely response.
- • To ensure seamless team operations, you will provide coverage and support to other members of the billing team as needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. Additionally, you will be tasked with performing other ad-hoc duties as assigned, contributing to the broader Finance and Operations functions of the company. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential process improvements and system enhancements that can streamline operations and increase efficiency. The ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams, coupled with a strong understanding of basic legal contract structures and revenue recognition concepts, will be highly beneficial. Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business environment, particularly with US-based customers or time zones, will set candidates apart, enabling them to navigate complex billing scenarios and exceptions with confidence. The fast-paced, high-growth nature of Wrike means you'll be working in an environment with evolving processes, demanding adaptability and a customer-centric mindset.
- • You will be an integral part of the Billing team within Wrike’s Finance organization, reporting to a Billing/Order Management Manager or Team Lead. This team is characterized by its collaborative, supportive, and detail-oriented culture, with a shared commitment to accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Finance, Sales, Renewals, Legal, Customer Support, and Customer Success, contributing to a unified approach to customer satisfaction and financial operations. The work style at Wrike is dynamic and global, emphasizing remote collaboration and cross-functional partnership. This role specifically requires alignment with US working hours (6:30 PM IST to 3:30 AM IST) to effectively support our global customer base and internal stakeholders. You will leverage industry-standard tools such as NetSuite/Oracle, Salesforce & Salesforce CPQ, Wrike, Zendesk, and the Microsoft Suite (Word & Excel) to perform your duties. The opportunity to gain end-to-end quote-to-cash process exposure in a modern SaaS environment makes this role particularly rewarding.
