- • The Billing Coordinator III (Subsidiary) role at Labcorp is critical to ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for genetic testing services by resolving insurance claim denials and appeals, directly supporting the company’s mission to advance healthcare through diagnostic innovation.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include researching and validating claim mappings, producing high-volume successful appeals to insurance carriers, reviewing payer medical policies to identify root causes of denials, following up on outstanding denials, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes, and communicating professionally with clients via telephone when needed.
- • Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development, serving healthcare providers, researchers, and patients with a mission to improve health and lives through innovative science and compassionate service.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in healthcare billing, denial management, and insurance appeals processes—particularly for genetic testing—while gaining experience with Labcorp-specific systems (LCLS/LCBS), enhancing your analytical and organizational skills, and contributing to process improvements that impact revenue integrity and patient access to care.
🎯 Requirements
- • High School Diploma or equivalent
- • 3 years or more healthcare billing experience
- • Intermediate MS Excel skills
- • Strong attention to detail
- • Ability to manage time and tasks independently while maintaining productivity
- • Excellent organizational and communication skills
